So I got home from work to Mike already eating a frozen dinner and ready to go on a walk with the dog, so I knew I had to make dinner fast! I had this package of Lentil Rice Biryani I had got a few months back at Trader Joe’s:
I only had to pop it in the microwave for a minute and a half. Here it is on the plate with some carrots and dip. I liked it enough – but ended up putting a good amount of hot sauce on it. I’m not sure if it was “Indian spices” or not – I don’t eat enough Indian food – but it had a very distinct taste. I think I’ll buy it again, I just need to make sure I have my trusty Frank’s around.

And I thought I should take a picture of Lando in her “regular” spot whenever I’m in the kitchen – right on top of me feet. It’s cute – but she couldn’t possibly be more in the way
After dinner, we took a walk, then I decided to run to the grocery store. I’m pretty sure I was really just thirty when we got home, but I had purchased some delicious low-cal Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream sandwiches – and we happen to have low sugar chocolate syrup in the fridge. I couldn’t resist. I made myself a nice little dessert, and a mocktail to go along with it
You’ll have to excuse our classy china. We don’t have a dishwasher (the machine – I don’t qualify) in our house, so during the week we use paper plates – I know it’s not the most “green” way to eat, but I already spend a lot of time on the weekends catching up.
I also stole some blue corn tortilla chips that the husband had out (not pictured) while we were watching TV tonight. It’s off to bed now, and hopefully up early in the morning to exercise. And most importantly – tomorrow we get to move desks at work! WOHOO! Pictures to come!
