Third time is the charm – RIGHT?!

It’s been a long day, despite the fact I spent most of it sleeping.  Today I went in for my 3rd procdure, with my fingers crossed that it finally makes me feel better!   I had my gallbladder out in August, ended up back in the ER a month later needing to have an ERCP  (and a 5 day :( hospital stay),  and now today was my 2nd ERCP (3rd gallbladder related procedure) to hopefully get the very last of the stones causing me pain.  They don’t put you completely asleep for the procedure, but they pump you full of enough drugs to make you majorly drowsy for the whole day.  I think it was about 7pm tonight before I felt like my head was clear.

I needed to stick with soft foods for most of the day so I had 3 Philly Swirl pops for lunch, and a pudding for “dessert” – exciting – I know ;)   If you haven’t tried a Philly Swirl product – you are missing out!  I love these things, and they are all low cal.  These fudge-based pops have 57 calories a piece (odd number I know) – they are awesome!

“Dessert”

For dinner I was allowed to have real food (since I kept down the soft stuff) – so I munched on a few crackers with some hummus while my mom was cooking…

And then for dinner, a yummy comfort food meal, Chicken Kelly with Delicious Potatoes and spinach!  YUM!

That’s it for now – all the sleeping today has made me tired (sounds silly – I know), and I’m still pretty uncomfortable from having someone rooting around my insides (that sounds gross – sorry!)  G’nite!

What a weekend!

If you couldn’t tell (since it’s taken me all day to post) – we had a “little bit of fun” last night :)   I think the birthday girl had a good time, and I know I did :)

I started off with a glass of wine (Sauvignon Blanc) at the house, and then order a Chardonnay when we got to the bar.  It came in the cutest little bottle, but I didn’t think to snap a picture of it!  I know better for next time! – I’m still catching on to this “taking a picture of everything” thing…

Then we got a shot for the birthday girl – the first one we did with her was a Black‘n’Blue(below), the second was a Kamikaze (no picture).  Here’s me, Birthday Girl, and Mike (roommate Josh got cut out of the picture) :(

Since Caroline is also my cousin, all of our family was there – my mom’s contribution to the birthday girl’s drinks was called a “Bucket of Fun” – basically a huge bucket of liquor.  I helped Caroline out with it, but looking at the pictures now – it’s totally gross!

Then cousin Connor showed up – and the whiskey shots started (here is one, I believe there were 3 total) – all in all – it was a COMPLETELY over-indulgent night in regards to booze, but hey, Caroline only turns 21 once, right? :)

If you have read this far, I guess it should go without saying that I didn’t feel so hot when I woke up this morning (neither did Mike or roomie Josh).  So the boys made the executive decision that we need Cici’s Pizza for breakfast/lunch (we woke up late – I hate how drinking makes us SO unproductive).  The camera (and my credit card!) were MIA from last night so I don’t have pictures for you :(   I had the BEST salad – I really do have to give them credit for their salad bar, and a whole lot of pizza (I thought it might help soak up some of the “damage” I did last night).  No where near a healthy lunch, but it was the perfect remedy for a Sunday morning hangover.

Since Cici’s counted as breakfast and lunch – dinner wasn’t until later.   (after some investigation – we found the camera and credit card under a pile of clothes – why wouldn’t it be there?)  I had some sushi – spicy rolls, and a salad:

That’s about it!  I’m definitely done eating for the day – I’m STUFFED, and I have my procedure tomorrow – my third relating to having my gallbladder removed.  Fingers crossed that “third time is the charm”, and that the procedure will go well, and I will FINALLY be pain free.  My food posts tomorrow might not be the most interesting – I’ll warn you in advance!  Off to watch the Simpsons premiere – EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT MONDAY! :)

Shake shake, shake shake…

I can’t get that song out of my head!  I think it’s sung by a Cyrus – but I love it! :)

Today ended up being pretty busy – we walked the dog 5 miles to tire her out for tonight, got Subway for lunch, ran errands, went bowling, and then came home to get ready for my cousin’s party tonight.  Subway ended up being lunch and dinner, so the pictures are pretty boring!   For lunch, I had half of my sweet onion chicken teriayki sandwich with some baked chips, and for dinner, the other half of the sandwich with some peppers and broccoli – sorry the pics are boring!

And here’s Lando – just making sure I’m okay while posting to the blog :)   I think she knows we are leaving her tonight…

Have a great night everyone!  We’re off to celebrate! :)
