Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m going to catch you up really quickly on the rest of my trip, while I’m trying to get back in the swing of things at home and at work.
Monday morning – I woke up to this:
My buddy Mario – I think he knew I was leaving. I ate a bowl of cereal right when I got up, and then we just hung out and started to get packed up. Here’s my Honey Nut Clusters (or whatever they are called):
For lunch – I requested something “southern” – translation – I couldn’t get it in Ohio. So we went to Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ – it was amazing! They had their own special mustard and bbq sauce – I could have drank the entire bottle!
I ended up getting the turkey wrap (I’m always stressed out when ordering new food – so I missed the fact it said bacon – that was the only downfall). It had turkey, cheese, guacamole, bacon, and ranch. IT WAS SO FILLING AND SUPER GOOD!
And as my side, I wanted to try the special of the day which was white chicken chili – but they gave me the wrong thing – regular chili. I didn’t feel like going to ask for the right thing - everyone was so polite, and I figured the regular chili was just as good. I was right!
Then it was time to hit the road and head back to Wilmington, so I didn’t have to wake up crazy early Tuesday morning. Sarah and I grabbed some Subway on the car ride (sorry – no pic!). In the morning before my flight – I stole an orange from Sarah’s, and had my VERY FIRST Lemon Larabar.
It was interesting! Not my favorite – I don’t know if anything will beat Cherry Pie – but refreshing – it had a really nice lemon taste. Definitely one I would buy again – if they ever sold it around Cleveland.
When I got to Atlanta – I had 3 hours to kill – so I went down to all the walkways (you know what I mean if you have ever been to the Atlanta airport) and walked almost a mile to Concourse A just to get Chic-fil-a – it totally hit the spot – and I forgot to take a picture I was so hungry! Then when I was on the plane – I munched on my VERY FIRST Key Lime Pie Larabar – this thing was AWESOME. I would put it a very close 2nd to the Cherry Pie bar – it was nice and tart, had a little kick to it, while being perfectly sweet!
Mike picked me up at the airport around 5 – and we were both hungry. We decided on Cici’s (I know – I have an addiction – I completely forgot how much I love their salad bar) – so I made my 2nd trip to a buffet in less than 3 days. Here’s my huge FABULOUS salad. I have a problem – I know!
And a few slices of pizza – I didn’t eat the last piece – I was too full.
Then, when we got home – I had a package waiting for me! The nice people at Kardea had sent me all four of their flavors to try! Here’s a picture of the bars – haven’t tried any yet, but don’t worry – when I do – you’ll hear about it!
Here’s my reading material from the trip if you are interested! I finished both of the Jen Lancaster books (she is freakin’ hysterical – you should read her!), as well as my Rachael Ray and Glamour – and I have In Defense of Food waiting (which I’m very excited to read!) I’ve heard a lot of great things about this book!
While I was unpacking – and playing with Lando on top of our bed – she peed all over our duvet and down comforter!
Booo! So that added a few loads of laundry to my evening, and prevented my “early bedtime” idea. Here’s where she rested while waiting for everything to dry:
How can you stay mad?
Today I’m very happy to be home and back in the swing of things. I made a quick trip to Aldi last night to stock up on fresh items, and started my day with some delicious PUMPKIN oatmeal! I added raisins and granola for extra crunch/chew!
And the typical slew of morning drinks – diet coke, diet ddp, green tea, and water! I’m a crazy lady I know! Off to catch up on work! Have a great day!

Hehe, we have similar morning drinking habits! I just can’t get enough fluids in the morning, and I go nutso with the tea and water… I usually try to hold until the afternoon for the diet soda, but sometimes I cave…
