You knew it was coming! It’s Friday!

God I’m a total sucker for those adorable boxer faces!
For a late snack (I ended up eating that soup from lunch!) – I had a delicious – “hit the spot” – Coconut Cream Pie Larabar!
After work, I ran some errands: picking up wrapping paper for my friends baby shower, looking for glasses, quick trip to the grocery store, and came home to dinner being on the table! Mike’s Dad is staying with us tonight because he has to catch an early flight out of the Cleveland airport, so the boys ordered some pizza!
And boy do they know what toppings I like! There were slices of banana pepper/black olive waiting for me when I walked in the door. YUM!
As far as my shopping trip is concerned, I spent $13.32 – which brings our challenge running total to:
$101.05 – with 6 days to go!
That’s it for now – off to go relax and visit with the father-in-law!
I feel like I’ve had so much to tell you all this week!
Let me start off by saying a sincerely, heartfelt thank you to all of you who commented on my last post. It really meant a lot to me, and made me feel a lot better. Thank you so much for your kind words – it made my morning so much better!
Also – I didn’t need to worry about leaving Lando home alone. Our wonderful roommate Josh is looking after her today (granted I had to bribe him with beer – but I know he wanted to help because he secretly loves Lando as much as I do!)
On top of all the support and kind words – I checked out Eating Bird Food this morning – to find I had won Miss Brittany’s Hemp Milk give-away! I never win anything, so TODAY HAS TO BE A GOOD DAY, RIGHT??
AND ON TOP OF THAT!!!! – It’s one of the most important weekends of the year! If you are a Buckeye or Michigan fan that is!
The OSU v. Michigan game is the rivalry to top all rivalries. I’d hardly classify anyone in our department as a “sports fanatic” – but sure enough (all unplanned) – several of us showed up wearing our favorite team’s gear. Some of us made better choices than others.
I look like a beast in this picture!
GO BUCKS!
You’ll hear a lot more about that tomorrow after we win!
For breakfast, I had a repeat of yesterday’s – apple pie oatmeal with some dried cherries:
And lunch – I wasn’t really hungry because I had a Starbucks coffee. I actually had the shakes – that stuff really makes me crazy! I had a salad – and I’m thinking about having this soup – I’m still undecided, but thought I’d show you the picture anyway!
Mike just sent me a picture of Lando – do you guys see what I mean about how sad she looks???

Try and tell me that face doesn’t say “Mommy – WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME?”
Let me start off by saying I know I have a fantastic life, with a wonderful husband, a great family on all sides, fabulous friends, a house to cover our heads, and a job to keep us afloat. I understand how fortunate and blessed I am.
That being said – you ever just have one of those days where you are sad? Well that was my day to begin with because I was sick, I’ve got a bunch of other things going on, and I was stressed out about Lando’s surgery.
Now that she is home, I’m so sad my heart hurts. Not because anything is wrong, but she just looks so sad and unhappy and can’t get comfortable. She just looks up at me (as she’s done yelping) with these puppy dog eyes – and I swear she is saying “Mommy – why did you let those people hurt me”.
Do you guys think I’m totally nuts? It’s okay if you do – I THINK I’M NUTS. I just really don’t like to see others in pain, I get really upset by it. I was like this when I taught. If I saw kids getting made fun of or picked on or anything like that (where another person would be in pain – emotional or physical) – it would upset me so much. I guess I’m just extremely sensitive to how others might be feeling?
Alright – sorry for getting all deep and sappy. I PROMISE I’m done now!
For a snack – I had the rest of the applesauce that I didn’t use in my morning oats.
And for dinner, I wanted a quick and easy dinner – Gee – notice a theme lately? So here’s what I whipped up:
A microwaved Boca burger, topped with a slice of cheese, 1 egg and 2 egg whites, and a slew of fresh veggies on the side. I made all the veggies nice and chunky so you could munch on them individually, as opposed to a “salad”. There was some tomato, onion, spinach, and pepper.
Off to watch Thursday night TV – The Office and 30 Rock!
