Hi my lovelies!
My goodness today has been INSANE! I took a half day off work to get stuff done….AND get stuff done – I DID!
Just wanted to say hi and wish you a happy weekend! I’ll give you a nice long post on Sunday – but tonight – it’s 9:15 and I still haven’t eaten dinner, and tomorrow – I’m cleaning like a maniac and then we are headed out of town for the night!
To keep ya coming back – a Friday Fix!

And this one isn’t “funny” (okay – if you don’t think any of these are funny – I TOTALLY understand – but most of them crack me up – I’m a big sucker for “pet humor”) – but this little guy was just too cute!

Hope you are enjoying the start of your weekend and I’ll give ya full recap Sunday!
Mike couldn’t have picked a better time to be the NICEST HUSBAND IN THE WORLD, and buy my birthday present 2 months early! My camera is fighting me tooth and nail right now, it will let me turn it on and look at pictures, but if I try to take one, it shuts off. And yes, the batteries are charged – I already tried that! So I’ve got some pictures for you, not of everything – and Mike said my present “shipped on Tuesday” – so fingers crossed I’ll have my new baby soon!
With all the snow we got walloped (lol – such a funny word) with yesterday – we lost power at work for about 20 minutes, so that made the day interesting.
One of the pictures that did work – was breakfast – which, while I’m grateful the camera decided to work – ya’ll know what my spicy oats look like!

Since we are scrounging to use up what’s left in our fridge, so that we don’t have to go grocery shopping until tomorrow, I had another “salad-less” lunch! But since I’ve got Arnold Thins now – I’m TOTALLY okay with it! I had a boca burger on a thin, and an orange:

Then I decided I was still hungry, so I dove into one of my chickpea wraps - here’s where the camera started being a bastard – no picture!
The snow kept coming all day long, so we eventually got sent home early…right before I left I decided I needed some chocolate to help me survive the treacherous ride home:

M&Ms – does a body good!
By dinner time last night my camera was in full boycott mode, so I’ve got no pictures for you! I ended up having another chickpea wrap, and a Smart One (Pasta with chicken and broccoli – YUM!), so you didn’t miss out on much!
I used Kristin’s camera to get me through today – breakfast was….I’m not even gonna say it!

Lunch was another hodge podge…
Veggies and pretzels:

A Smart One – Sante Fe Rice and Beans – YUM!

I took a picture of the box, because that’s way prettier than what it actually looks like!
And for a snack -

The incredibly hard to fine Pear Apple Strudel Clif Bar!

This thing was AMAZING! It smelled and tasted like HEAVEN!
I didn’t get to the gym last night to run my schedule 2.5 miles because of the snow storm, but it’s on my agenda for tonight. I’m also headed to an apartment building near by to test myself for the “Tackle the Tower” race coming up next weekend. Expect an update later!
T with an I, M with an E – that spells Good Time! I heard that Alan Jackson song on my way to work today and it’s TOTALLY stuck in my head!!! Grrr!
Sorry for not posting last night – I was BEAT! I went upstairs to put a coat of primer on the walls and ceiling – I thought it would take me about an hour – it ended up taking 3! My hands were so sore and swollen today I couldn’t even get my wedding ring on! Yikes!
This morning was crazy too! I didn’t realize it, but it snowed about 8 inches over night – so a bunch of schools were closed, and Mike and I had to dig our cars out this morning! The commute was pretty stinky, and I got stuck at the top of our street – can I just tell ya’ll – WINTER DRIVING STRESSES ME OUT! My car is low to the ground, and apparently has performance tires (I was the epitome of a chick buying a car that “looked nice” – didn’t think about the “specs”) – so that translates to – it’s HORRIBLE in the snow. How horrible you may ask?? THIS WAS LAST YEAR (NOT TODAY – DON’T WORRY) - it spun out on me on the highway -

Purdy, huh?
On to the good stuff -
If you had to take one guess as to what I ate for breakfast, what would it be?

You probably guessed right!
Since our veggies were running low – I had to stray from my normal lunch salad – which I was totally fine with since I have leftover tofu and delicious Arnold thins because of wonderful Ashley! Lunch was a tofu sammich (isn’t that more fun to say instead of sandwich?!), carrots, tomato, and hummus:

The tomato wasn’t mealy today! Woot woot! And my sammich had tofu with 2 laughing cow wedges – look how pretty:

DEEEEE-LISH! Thanks again Ashley – these Arnold Thins are making my week fairly kick ass!
For a snack, I went for a chickpea wrap, and an orange:

I ended up scarfing my apple afterwords because I was still hungry – and forgot to snap a picture!
Since painting took so much longer than I had anticipated, I was famished, and eating dinner at 8:30! EEK! So of course, I was convinced I was starving, when I should have just chugged a glass of water before shoving my face full of food! I had a repeat of Sunday’s dinner, which was really quite good, albeit an odd combination; Boca burger, and Chicken Pot Stickers from TJ’s:

And remember – I was “starving” – so rather than give myself a minute to let my food settle, I scarfed down the last of my PB puffins!

That’s about it! I was finally f ull and cleaned up in time to catch Scrubs (serioulsy, WTF were they thinking with the muppet crap?!), and a little of that ABC “What would you do special?” – which I always fine interesting, seeing how other react when they don’t know they are being watched.
Ta, ta for now!
