G with an O, O with D…

T with an I, M with an E – that spells  Good Time!   I heard that Alan Jackson song on my way to work today and it’s TOTALLY stuck in my head!!!   Grrr!

Sorry for not posting last night – I was BEAT!  I went upstairs to put a coat of primer on the walls and ceiling – I thought it would take me about an hour – it ended up taking 3!  My hands were so sore and swollen today I couldn’t even get my wedding ring on!  Yikes!

This morning was crazy too!  I didn’t realize it, but it snowed about 8 inches over night – so a bunch of schools were closed, and Mike and I had to dig our cars out this morning!  The commute was pretty stinky, and I got stuck at the top of our street – can I just tell ya’ll – WINTER DRIVING STRESSES ME OUT! My car is low to the ground, and apparently has performance tires (I was the epitome of a chick buying a car that “looked nice” – didn’t think about the “specs”) – so that translates to – it’s HORRIBLE in the snow.  How horrible you may ask??  THIS WAS LAST YEAR (NOT TODAY – DON’T WORRY) -  it spun out on me on the highway -from-camera-before-mexico-095

Purdy, huh?

On to the good stuff -

If you had to take one guess as to what I ate for breakfast, what would it be?picture-001

You probably guessed right!

Since our veggies were running low – I had to stray from my normal lunch salad – which I was totally fine with since I have leftover tofu and delicious Arnold thins because of wonderful Ashley!  Lunch was a tofu sammich (isn’t that more fun to say instead of sandwich?!), carrots, tomato, and hummus:picture-0057The tomato wasn’t mealy today!  Woot woot!  And my sammich had tofu with 2 laughing cow wedges – look how pretty:picture-0092DEEEEE-LISH!  Thanks again Ashley – these Arnold Thins are making my week fairly kick ass!

For a snack, I went for a chickpea wrap, and an orange:picture-0113I ended up scarfing my apple afterwords because I was still hungry – and forgot to snap a picture!

Since painting took so much longer than I had anticipated, I was famished, and eating dinner at 8:30!  EEK!  So of course, I was convinced I was starving, when I should have just chugged a glass of water before shoving my face full of food!   I had a repeat of Sunday’s dinner, which was really quite good, albeit an odd combination; Boca burger, and Chicken Pot Stickers from TJ’s:picture-0143And remember – I was “starving” – so rather than give myself a minute to let my food settle, I scarfed down the last of my PB puffins!  picture-0162That’s about it!  I was finally f ull and cleaned up in time to catch Scrubs (serioulsy, WTF were they thinking with the muppet crap?!), and a little of that ABC “What would you do special?” – which I always fine interesting, seeing how other react when they don’t know they are being watched.

Ta, ta for now!

Mmmm, your food all looks so good!

I know what you mean about stressful winter driving. I hate it. Right before Christmas my car got STUCK on the freeway. Cars whizzing by us, and we are just stuck, right in the middle while my car wouldnt even move. So, a few weeks later, we bought my first AWD car and I am loving it! I still get stressed in the big storms though.

Oh no!! Tons of SNOW!! Having grown up in Chagrin and living in Columbus now, it is so funny to me how people down here can not handle the snow at all! I am on my second snow day of the week! Today was actually really bad because we have like an inch of ice, but still – Clevelanders are so much tougher!!
I am glad you are safe! I hate driving in it too!! :)

Hi! Thank you for the very cute comment! I read it to Josh :) Booo to the snow- I hate driving in wintery weather- it makes me sick to my tummy! Love all the food- a chickpea wrap? I’m for it! Sounds so good. What color you painting over the primer?

Good luck with the winter driving! On my road trip up north I was definitely scared to drive on icy roads!

I’ve got to cave and buy me some Arnold Sammich Thins! :)

Yikes! Your poor car. Winter driving totally stresses me out, too!

I need to remember to buy hot sauce to make your oatmeal! Every time I see it I make a mental note and then I always forget!!

Glad you’re enjoying the Arnold thins!!

I am the same way with winter driving – can’t stand it! But my hubby lets me drive our Explorer in the winter time and he squeezes into our tiny Mazda just so he can feel safe with me on the streets!

Spring, where are you??

[Reply]

Stay safe in the crazy weather!!! Your car pic from last year = so scary!

I finally busted out the chickpeas yesterday! Thanks for giving me the motivation :) Love the hummus!!
