I’ve had this sort of cold/congestion/sore throat thing that I just have NOT been able to shake. Therefore – this may be the very most boring post you’ve ever read.
Consider yourself warned.
The idea of making any sort of breakfast was too much to handle – so I grabbed the quickest, easiest breakfast I could:

Broccoli slaw “salad”:

All mixed up with some balsamic vinegar and hummus:

This was awesome – I bought a huge bag of the broccoli slaw at Costco – definitely going to become a staple!

Naturally More really is my creative medium – look how “artsy” I am!

Right after work – I went out to Whole Foods to go shopping and hang out with one of my very most favorite bloggers) – so by the time I got home I was STARVING!
Which lead me to make a delicious, although not-completely-Clean-Life-compliant dinner:

Filled with Sabra hummus, black beans, banana peppers, hot sauce, and a slice of cheese:

OH.SO.GOOD!
That’s it – I’m spent, I still don’t feel good and this post took the last ounce of energy I had!
On a sentimental note - It was a year ago yesterday, that my very first, most coolest (Lando’s adorable, but not cool!) doggie best friend, Murphy, passed away. He was exactly 5 years, 1 month when he died – which was far too soon…

…we love you and miss you Murph!

Black beans and hummus? Hmmm…
We do have a strawberry field here right down the road from me that just opened up for the season. You can pick strawberries by hand. Thanks for reminding me to check it out!

Sorry about Murphy
I don’t think your post was boring at all. But it is harder to post when you haven’t done anything interesting. That was my day yesterday.

Ack look at that mush! Love it! And am I spying a wonky ear on Murphy? Rocky has one too and I love it so much. I go crazy when dogs have wonky floppy ears.
Hope you feel better soon Allison!

Awe your pup was a cuttie!! Also, what a great idea to put hummus in your broccoli slaw!! I use to get it all the time and tossed it with asian dressing. I got burned out and stopped getting it. I’ll have to try your method. Sounds great!

Oh no! I’m so sorry Murphy passed away. 5 years is way too young. I’m looking after my sister’s puppy (1 year) right now and that’s heartbreaking to think about! Hang in there.
