Pencil thin mustache

Jimmy Buffet anyone?  “I wish I had a pencil thin mustache…”

I love that song – and I love Jimmy Buffet – he’s got all the perfect songs for enjoying warm weather up at the Lake Erie islands!

Saturday – I headed up to the islands to help my parents get their new house put together – I left around 2pm (sans Mike and Lando), so I was:

and

:(

all at the same time!

A little scenery from my ride:

Windows down, music blastin’, summer lovin’, island headed Allison:

The ride is exactly 1 hour, so it’s not bad at all!  When I got there, I sat on the porch with my family – and snacked on some of the grapes I had brought along in my purse:

After visiting with new neighbors,  a trip to the furniture store, and helping my mom put together all the bedrooms – I had to make sure to steak my claim on “MY ROOM” (by “my” – I mean me, Mike and Lando!)

My reading material for the evening:

(Twilight so far – MEH!  I don’t get what the craze is all about…)

Then we headed out to dinner at Cleats – a chain that just recently opened up a new location out that way!

I ended up getting the “veggie melt“:

This was a really great veggie sandwich, but it was VERY greasy considering there was just veggies on it!  Also – I got an INSANE amount of fries!  Luckily – my Mom and Dad were willing to help me finish them off!

I did get a kick out of one thing on the menu…

They said “sammich” - my very most favorite way to pronounce and write “sandwich” – it’s the little things in life people!

After that – it was back to the lake house to hang out a little more, and then hit the sack!    A perfect ending to a relaxing Saturday!

The lake house sounds amazing! I love lake houses! Where is it? Near Port Clinton or the other direction, Geneva?
We have a wedding, Brady’s cousin, this weekend coming up. Bummer! How long will you be in town?!?!

I agree. This Twilight craze is ridiculous! I enjoyed the books but hated the movie. Very over-rated.

I’ve been enjoying your blog and it’s new local! I’m so glad that I’m not the only person (and Elise above!) that just find Twilight so-so.

I love your spicy oats everyday…how do you make those eggs? Very pretty.
