Even though I could have slept in yesterday since we got our long run finished Friday night – this MONSTER made sure I was up and at’em by 6:45!

It was pretty hot out yesterday, so oats were ruled out pretty quickly. Instead – I found this in the fridge:

and remembered I had this in my cupboard:

So I mixed it all together with a nectarine!

Then, I headed down to the Westside Market just to stock up on a few items for the week (and Mike came with me for the first time!!!!!!)

We ended up getting:
- 1 large eggplant
- 1lb of okra (only a few pictured here)
- 1lb of brussel sprouts (only a few pictured here)
- 3 seedless cucumbers
The shelling peas I purchase based on Roni’s produce pick (that Ryan – he really knows how to sell a product!)
There were TERRIBLE thunderstorms for most of the day yesterday – so Mike and I took advantage of that and curled up on the couch to watch a movie. When it cleared up for a few minutes, we quickly hit up Home Depot, Kohl’s, and Aldi. See? We know how to make an unproductive day seem productive!
When we got home, I was pretty hungry, so I made a FlatOut wrap and salad – all with the same ingredients: yellow pepper, pinto beans, lettuce, and cheese!

We hung around some more, took Lando on a few walks, and then Netflix came in the mail, so we plopped down in front of the TV again!
Halfway through the movie, I figured it was about time that I FINALLY tried this banana ice cream that everyone has been talking about:

Looks delicious right?? (How could it not?! There’s chocolate and peanut butter included!)
Honestly – I hated it. It was disgusting. It had a really bitter after-bite. Guys – I just do.not.like.bananas. I try, and try, and try, but I hate them. The flavor grosses me out, the consistency makes me want to gag. The only thing I can handle is banana bread or banana muffins. Sorry!
Alright – I’ve got to jet- Mike and I are off to see Food Inc. (wow, bet you haven’t heard that this weekend from a food blogger)

Bill will be so happy to see that you hated the banana ice cream because he did too. He said the exact same thing you did about it!
I must admit that although I love it, I can’t finish a bowl. I usually toss a little bit.

Ha! Been there! There a loads of foodie blogger foods that everyone adores and I want to vomit back up (Larabars anyone?), so I get it.
And nine miles with your hubs? So jealous! I would love if Scott ran with me on occasion. Do you all run the same pace?
Also, I’m not ignoring you! My computer was down for several days so I couldn’t email you back but I will today!
