Saturday night – my “dinner group” (my girlfriends from high school) and I went downtown (Cleveland baby!) and tried out D’Vine Wine Bar for the first time!

It was the perfect night to be out on the town – and thanks to my friends urging (I ALWAYS pick inside!!!) – they convinced me to sit outside and enjoy the weather and the view!

I might give Cleveland a hard time (Hey – when you are born and raised here – it’s allowed) – but deep down, I love this city!

The thing I was MOST excited to try at D’Vine – their WINE FLIGHTS! There were about 12 different flights to choose from, but I was quickly sold on the Award Winning Whites, as soon as I saw 2 of the 4 wines ended in Blanc!

I sipped from all 4 as soon as they came – and they were all deliciously amazing! After trying each of them – I decided to just work my way from right to left, and started drinking the Ghost Pines Chardonnay.
The girls and I decided to split 2 appetizers: The “Trio of Dips“, and the Baked Brie.

I didn’t try any of the Brie, I really don’t care for that sweet/cheese combo. However - the “Trio of Dips” was AMAZING! From top to bottom the dips were: White Bean & Basil, Roasted Red Pepper and Cheese, and Roasted Cauliflower and Asiago. The Cauliflower dip was the most exquisite thing I’ve tasted in a LONG TIME! Absolutely to.die.for!
Here’s my side of the table:

and the girls on the other side:

D’Vine is more of a tapas style restaurant, so when I saw they had a “small plate” of scallops for only $12 – I was sold!

This was so delicious!

The scallops were perfectly cooked, and the sauce they were served in was phenomenal. The scallops were served over a red pepper hominy mix, with cilantro and arugula!
I can’t really say the wine was all that bad either!

After I was finished, I was torn as to which was my favorite. The Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc or the Ferrari- Carano Fume Blanc! I could have easily polished off a bottle of those on my own!
Here’s all of the lovely ladies together (I really do love hanging out with these girls!!!)

A perfect Saturday Girl’s Night Out!

What a great night with the ladies! This place looks fabulous. I want to try that Roasted Cauliflower and Asiago dip. Plus I love any restaurant that offers smaller plates. Yummy on the scallops. Hope your Monday goes well.

I had a blast too, what a great place. I would just like to let everyone know that the brie cheese was delish… we tried to tell Allison to try it, but to no avail. Great night, great friends, great wine, great food, what more could a girl ask for?

Glad you had fun with your friends! I got stuck in Cleveland for a night when our first plane broke down and our second plan got diverted by a tornado. It was a long night. But I enjoyed our little restaurant by the airport.

What a cool place!!! Looks like you guys had fun! I love sampling flights of wine! Did you know that you can get flights at PF Changs? Under $10 for any 3 glasses on the menu, no matter what the cost per glass is (it has to be sold by the glass, though).

This looks like so much fun!
I have a quick little question, this may seem silly. As a new blogger, I’m curious how you get pictures side by side like you do?

I love Tapas restaurants! I’ve never ordered a flight of wine, but it’s such a brilliant idea. Your dress is adorable, BTW.

[...] My dinner date plans included more wine (I apparently can’t get enough this week)… I knew some of the fabulous ladies I used to work with would be in town this week – so we planned a “get together” at D’Vine Wine Bar in downtown Cleveland. You may remember me talking about D’Vine here! [...]
