Or should I say Life Vest Barney?

I am way too excited about my purchase yesterday – that I just have to share it with ya’ll! This weekend is Lando’s first trip up to the islands – and I figure we’ll probably be going out on the boat, and the ex-teacher in me always thinks “Safety First!” So what did I do? I bought my little Lando a life vest!

Spicy Oats are back in the morning routine to stay – the smoothies are great – but the oats fill me up so much better!

For dinner I got to work on all my market pickins’…

I threw 2 baby eggplants, the okra and the brussel sprouts in the oven for 40 minutes at 375, and then made some sort of veggie/quinoa concoction on the stovetop:

Amazing! I love this sort of dinner – it’s just a hodge podge of everything, and it makes a TON so there is always lots of leftovers!

After dinner – Mike and I kicked back and enjoyed some red wine (sparkling, fruity red from TJ’s – didn’t pic the bottle):

I used frozen raspberries for ice cubes! (as well as ice cubes for ice cubes!)

One last thing, and then I swear I’ll leave you alone! When I find food I love, I share it with you guys, so I figured – shouldn’t the same apply for music?

I’m a notorious “repeat player” – I’m pretty sure every single family member and friend of mine has had a day where they wanted to kill me because I’ve sat there playing the same song over and over. Newest obsession that I’ve listened to over and over and over again: Sean Kingston – Fire Burning. Awesomeness – I promise!

I’ve been listening to MIA’s Paper Planes (from the Slumdog soundtrack). I don’t normally like wrap but that song really just caught me. I love Jai Ho too.

HAHA we take my boyfriend’s dog kayaking with us and he has a little orange life vest! Not sure if he really needs it bc you figure he can swim, but it’s sooo cute!

I am the SAME way! My sister hates it – and I inevitably end up hating the song because I overplay it myself. It’s a vicious cycle – but when you find something, you stick with it. Hence why my meals are often repeat offenders too!
