Sick Sicky

Sorry I’ve been MIA!  It was a crazy busy weekend (recaps to come!!!), that turned into a barf-y start to the week.  Something I ate yesterday did not sit well with me – and – well – I’ve been paying the consequences since 4am this morning. Blech!  :(

But who wants to hear about that?

Let’s talk food!

Friday was a pretty full day (no workout before work) – so I started with my new favorite combo:

Cherry PB Oats!  So delicious!

I didn’t pack my lunch, so I needed something quick and easy – but I also couldn’t go out to lunch because I had to leave work early for a secret meeting (Yawpfest!) – so one of the guys I work with was nice enough to go pick up Chick-fil-a for us!  I got the Chargrilled chicken, and of COURSE their waffle fries!

Do any of you have bizarre emotional ties to a person/place/thing? I ask because…

I used to love Chick-fil-a. I’d eat there at least once a week.  And if Mike ever asked “What do you feel like for dinner” – that was always the answer!  But then last June, we were headed to Chick-fil-a, when my dad called, and told me that Murphy died.  It was out of no where, such a shock to my system – and to this day – I have this weird association with Chick-fil-a and being so heartbroken. I can still eat the food, but the act of actually going to the restaurant has this weird effect on me.  I can’t bring myself to go.  So I got the best of both worlds.  I got to eat Chick-fil-a, but didn’t need to deal with my coo coo bananas insanity:cool:

My parents came over for dinner (my Dad was helping Mike hang some lights) – so I got thethem and Mike Penn Station – and made myself a falafel pita:

With a side of peppers and shelling peas!

The lights look great – but I was a totally dope and didn’t even think to take before and after pictures.  Sorry boys – your hard work can’t be displayed!  :(

Once the lights were hung – we sat around and visited for a while, and I munched on some “Cheddar Airs” – puffed popcorn:

We bought the jumbo bag at Costco – it was gone in 4 days!

Okay – if you are still reading, sorry this was sort of lame, but not feeling well today, has apparently directly translated in my writing.  Here’s to a better tomorrow!
