Thanks for all your awesome feedback on TrueBlood and other fantastic TV shows. You had some seriously great ideas!
Friday Oats: Apples & PB:

Since “Unburied Treasure” was my lunch on Thursday – I had planned on eating the salad I had packed Thursday for lunch on Friday – until I remembered there was FREE food for lunch!

Once a month in the summer, the Senior Team has a cookout for all the employees, and they always have veggie burgers! I ended up with a veggie burger, pretzels (with some ranch), and a salad. It was delicious, AND free – does it get any better?
I finally got hungry again around 4pm – and broke into my PB&J flavored larabar:

This was my first time with this flavor – I have been dying to try it !
Is it just me, or does anyone else think the size of this bar is about 1/2 of the size of a normal bar???

This was just good. Not great, not earth shattering, not delicious. It did taste like a PB&J sandwich, but all said and done, I wasn’t overly impressed.
When I got home – I was on my own for dinner (Mike had his Law Review Induction) – so I finally had the opportunity to make something I’d had in my head all week – FALAFELS WITH HOMEMADE TZIKI!

I used a little bit of yogurt, cucumbers, green onions, garlic salt, and dried chives:

Rather than a sauce – it was more like cucumber salad. Cucumbers covered in a dressing, not a dressing with chunks of cucumber.
Look at the top right hand corner of this picture:

My wrap had two store bought falafel balls, tziki, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes:

Now THIS was super tasty!!!
Then, rather than behave myself and stay in and relax – I ended up going out!
Mike got home and wanted to celebrate his first week of law school being over, and his law review-i-ness, my brother Matt was ready to go out after a long first week of grad school, and my friend Angelina wanted to go out after a long work week – WHO WAS I TO SAY NO TO ALL 3 OF THEM?!?!

A standard night of debauchery ensued, and I’m moving slightly slower than usual today!

Mike just ran out to Target and picked up Scrubs, Season 8 – the couch, TV, husband, and pup are calling my name – I must go! Any other Scrubs fans out there? I crack up hysterically any time Elliot say “Frick” – she just called someone a “Frickhead” in the episode we are watching – love it!
Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!
Does anyone else out there watch TrueBlood?? You may have caught on to this by now – but since Mike and I don’t have cable – we are always looking into finding new television shows that we can watch through Netflix. We’ve had some real hits in the past (Weeds, Dexter, Rescue Me, Breaking Bad, and more) – and TrueBlood is what’s currently up. Mike wasn’t having any of it – but I finished disc one (which was only two episodes) – and I like it so far! Does the show stay interesting? Thoughts? Anyone else have a good series they would recommend?
We were outta eggs in the GDW household yesterday morning – so instead of Spicy Oats - I went to Chocolate PB Oats – always a good stand in.

I added 2 TBSP of Naturally More, and crumbled up one of my Choco-Coco-PB-no-bake-cookies from the other night:

So yummy, but definitely not as filling as the Spicy Oats!
Lunch was an “accident” – and by accident – I mean – I ran to TJ’s to pick up some items for dinner, and stumbled onto these suckers…

…and proceeded to eat 2 full servings on my way back to the office. Yeah. Sour Cream & Onion Corn Puffs? That was lunch.
For those of you that eat Pirate’s Booty – is this just like it – just TJ’s brand? I’ve never had Pirate’s Booty – but I’m assuming this the same thing, with a different (albeit very very similar) name.
My fried Mel brought in her little guy (I just adore him!), so he could hang out – he made sure to touch every single thing on my desk.

Slamming some keys:

The key slamming led to all sorts of “error” and “help” message boxes being open (he was crackin’ me up!):

I’m not even kidding you – look how happy this kid is? I swear he looks like this 24 hours a day!

I mean really – How adorable is that face?!
Mike and I don’t want kids – but if I knew ahead of time my child would turn out like this happy handsome devil, I’d change my mind in an instant!
Having eaten a rather nutritionally lacking lunch – I was pretty hungry for some serious snacks come 3pm:

Carrots, pretzels & hummus – along with some DELICIOUS Mariani dried apricots:

I’m just realizing now that I like dried apricots (for years I thought I didn’t) – and these were the most beautiful, vibrant color orange – and they tasted amazing! They had a nice little zing to them! Thanks for the sample Mariani!
My friend Meghan came over for dinner – so it was my job to prep the food – her job to supply the wine! She brought over a bottle of Fat Bastard Pinot Noir:

And we had no trouble finishing it off! I am on a red wine loving kick this week! This was my first time trying this brand (and I think 2nd time ever trying Pinot Noir) and it was fabulous! I plan on stopping by the store and picking up a few more bottles!
I offered Meghan a selection of food – her final choice for dinner – PIZZA made with TJ’s whole wheat pizza:

I loved having a friend over who LOVES veggies -were were able to pile TONS onto this sucker:

We had all sorts of peppers, and olives, with just a sprinkle of cheese (toppings UNDER the cheese is the way to go!)

So delicious! You just can’t beat that TJ’s dough! grin:
It’s been a while, so I’ll leave you with these friends below – Happy Friday!

For the first time since I hurt my foot – I woke up EARLY yesterday (5:05am), and got a REALLY good sweat session in!
Right now I have a temporary pass (just for the week) at Fitworks, a gym chain in Cleveland. I tried out the spinning class yesterday and it kicked my bootay (and hurt my foot) – but I’m pretty sure I’m going to join. While I don’t feel like a gym membership is necessary for everyone – here in Cleveland – the winters are WAY too snowy and WAY too cold to be running outside, so I definitely need access to a treadmill! We shall see!
Breakfast – Spicy Oats – again. (I really need to make it at home so ya’ll can see the the PRETTY version – I assure you they are LOVELY!)

Followed up by a simple lunch – salad and original popchips:

I really need popchips to start creating economy size bags – I could eat these ALL day, EVERY day! Thanks again for spoiling me popchips!
Important question:

Does anyone else think my hummus glob, resembles Jabba the Hut? (Yeah – I am cool like that.)
Doubting how cool I am?

Blam-O!
You really had no idea, huh?
Snack: more of my no-bake accidental cookies!

I was supposed to go on a long bike ride with Kristin last night – but since spinning hurt my foot – I actually listened to my body and decline! Aren’t ya proud!
Instead – my Mom had asked me to come over and help her with some redecorating (and bribed me with dinner) – so I headed to my parents house.
I thought I would show off my adorable little co-pilot:

God I’m a sucker for that sweet puppah face! (These are for you Janetha!)
After agonizing over where to hang pictures (life is hard, right?) – we decided on Chinese…
Bad decision
I’ve never ordered tofu at an Asian cuisine restaurant before – but as soon as I saw this – I was 95% the tofu had been FRIED before smothered in sauce. Does anyone know for sure?? Am I right??

I ate about 3/4ths of this (should have stopped at about 1/4th), and ended up so sick to my belly the rest of the night!
I love tofu – but this seriously was no good. I definitely learned my lesson in ordering for this restaurant.
Okay my lovelies – I must jet! One of my long time girlfriends is coming over tonight and I’m making us dinner (since my husband is married to law school for the next 9 months!)
HAPPY ALMOST FRIDAY!
