Wow kids – has it been a DAY!
I’m at a total loss for words (NOTHING BAD! DON’T WORRY!) So I’ll ask you a question, leave you with pictures – and maybe even a laugh!
Question:
What do you do to get yourself out of a “rut”? I’ve been feeling pretty BLAH lately due to the fact I can’t run (no running=no exercise at all in my mind, which I know isn’t true), eating out a lot, and drinking more often than normal. Usually I’m pretty good and breaking the cycle, but this damn boot on my foot has really done a number on my head. Makes sense, right? Boot to head ratio?!
So what’s your trick? How do you get out of a “funk”?

Happy Hump Day!
…one is silver and the others gold! Girl Scouts anyone?
I know everyone is different – but when it comes to keeping in touch with people from my old places of employment – I’ve always done a great job with that (if I do say so myself!). I’ve found – when you spend the majority of your day with these people – you have a common bond, and become close if you are willing to make friendships. I’m still close with people from almost every single place I’ve ever worked (maybe with the exception of the jobs I had when I was 16!), and I really like that I still have those friendships.
How about you – Do you remain close with people you used to work with, or do you cut all ties once you leave that job?
Monday started off on the best foot possible – the Spicy Oats foot! (wah-huh??)

Lunch was a hodge podge:

Veggie filled Flatout wrap and ginormous grapes from the Westside market:

Salt & Pepper Popchips – love the “pepper-y” kick – but Salt & Vinegar and Sour Cream & Onion are still dukin’ it out for first place in my opinion!

Apple at 4 to tide me over until dinner:

My dinner date plans included more wine (I apparently can’t get enough this week)… I knew some of the fabulous ladies I used to work with would be in town this week – so we planned a “get together” at D’Vine Wine Bar in downtown Cleveland. You may remember me talking about D’Vine here!

After hugs and hellos – we all started off with some adult beverages – I opted for a glass of Rosé:

After chatting and catching up for a while, we finally decided to order several small plates for the group to split. I was ALL for the “Trio of Dips” which we got last time and loved. I’m not sure what they put in the “Roasted Cauliflower” dip – but I’m pretty sure it’s as addictive as crack!

A mushroom pizza:

and an order of calamari (served with NO “SPIDERS” – which always makes my day – the “spiders” FREAK ME OUT!!!!)

The food was just as delicious as last time, and the company was fantastic!
Thanks for meeting up with my ladies – I had an absolute blast and miss you guys a ton! We definitely need to do this again next time you are in town!!

Happy Tuesday!
Ahh, tis Monday – back to the grind…
Yesterday was one of the best Sunday’s I’ve had in a while. Why, you ask? Oh, do let me tell!
I got up early with pup face and attempted yoga and an ab workout. I say attempted because Lando’s version of “downward facing dog” is biting at my hands, humping my leg and licking my face. She’s a real class act. Just the relaxing, zen yoga setting everyone recommends, right?
Breakfast was quick – it was too hot for anything else!:

Light Bread Toasted with LOTS of spray butter (MMMMM! Every single artificial spray is like heaven!), some grapes, and a single chocolate covered strawberry from Oh Nuts!
Then it was off the family winery, for Mike’s Cousin’s Engagement Party. All of Mike’s family is out of town so we don’t get to see them very much – but when we do – it’s a BLAST!

After a quick round of hello’s – I headed straight for the food! I had two plates, that pretty much looked the same. Here’s the 1st:

Honestly – I was a pretty bad food blogger. I didn’t take a ton of pictures because I was more concerned with spending time and visiting with loved ones who we don’t get to see often. Sorry blog readers – FAMILY FIRST!
I did manage to take a few good ones though! Here’s my FIL, who cut himself a piece of cake the size of his head!

and when that didn’t fill him up – he went after Mike’s piece:

This isn’t Mike looking mean because people were trying to steal his cake – this is his reaction when I said “Smile!“:

Here’s a few pictures of the happy couple – Matt (Mike’s cousin) and Liz!

Aren’t they sweet???

Family was in from Texas, Florida, and all over Ohio just for them! They are both just such nice people! I can’t wait for their wedding!
It may go without saying – but I’ll say it for you anyway – since the party was at a winery – Uncle Dave’s fabulous wine was FREE flowin’ at the party. Before we even left – it was decided that Mike would be the DD. So I made it my duty to do the best job drinking that I could. Not to mention – the wine they make is so darn good – it goes down like tasty tasty juice!
Me likey winey!
A 90 minute car ride home, with no reading materials, an annoyed husband (that I love to pester!), and a half-in-the-bag Allison led to this:

Actually – it led to 100 pictures like that, but I spared you most.
Which led to this:

He couldn’t get us home fast enough!
Once we finally got home – it was past dinner time and we were both pretty hungry, so I made up some quick Flatout wraps:

Mine had hummus, romaine, onion, peppers (bell & naner), and some turkey!
I have another fun event tonight (wine filled too!) – so expect more fun tomorrow! Happy Monday!
