It’s “Friday” for me – WOOHOOOO! Come 5pm today – look out NYC – here I come!
Have any of you watched the movie/Nova special “Marathon Challenge”?
I watched it last night (it’s available through Netflix) – and it was really interesting! They follow 13 “average people who would be watching a marathon from the sidelines” – and document their progress as they train for a marathon. It was really, very cool. Also sort of heartbreaking. There is one woman who isn’t able to run the marathon because of multiple stress fractures in her shins (I feel ya sister!), and she was there on the day of to cheer everyone on – but you could see the sadness in her face. Overall, it was very moving though – watching these people cross the finish line. For all you runners out there, I definitely recommend watching it!
Moving on – Does anyone else see a bra in this picture?

Perhaps I’ve officially lost my mind – but I see an “egg bra”. (Yes, I’m super weird – deal with it)
Lunch was a repeat of Tuesday night’s dinner – (which is apparently the theme for this week, I keep repeating successful dinners for lunch!) – another Lentil Taco Salad:

and while this one looks way nastier – I assure you it was just as worthy of a tear, as dinner was the night before!
Snackies: Extremely un-ripe Pear (it was like eating an apple!) and carrots:

Work seriously kicked my butt yesterday! I was slammed out of no where, and it was just about 6pm before I went home! I really can’t complain though - I love being busy – I am one of those maniacs who thrives when they have a JILLION THINGS on their plate!
I needed to get creative for dinner – I was hungry for carbs, but we didn’t have a lot of choices in the house. I begged Mike to go out to eat with me – but he’s too smart for me, and he told me he KNEW I could make do with what we have!
“Make do” – I did!!

Baked Green Beans, Cheesy toast (with some pizza sauce!!!), and a Pink Lady:

Perfect! This was exactly the combo I was looking for – and to be honest – I was TOTALLY stuffed. I couldn’t even finish the apple. That sort of thing NEVER happens to me!
After watching my movie (see above!) – I finished packing and getting everything together around my house! I love traveling, but if it’s a trip I’m taking for work, or with friends - I’m always sad when I need to say goodbye to these little love muffins:

I’m super excited for NYC – but already missing those two sweet faces! I gave them both a big kiss goodbye this morning to get them through the weekend!
Have a great weekend!

I actually love it when pears are hard like that, I must be very strange.
I see boobs, not a bra, unless it’s strapless!

Ha Ha, love the egg picture.
I don’t think I’ve seen that marathon show, but the stress fracture part sounds familiar. So perhaps I have watched it. It does sound like something I’d like.

Gracie was helping me put clothes away this morning, grabbed a bra, and said, “Where do these boobs go?” Right here, honey. Right here.

Total egg boobies. Hysterical. That’s where my mind goes too. Or as Geoff has taught me to type: (.)(.) Inappropriate, I know.
Seriously, we are the same person. I have to have a trillion things going on and then I’m able to be most on top of my game.
Move to DC. Tell Mike there’s PLENTY of legal jobs in our nation’s capital. I mean, you know, with the government and all
Have so much fun in NYC!!! Eat pizza! I also love Alice’s Tea Cup. Super cute brunch spot.

Egg boobs, def!
I thrive on too much to do! I get mad anxious when things are still.
And I love unripe fruit too! Gotta be crunchy!
Have you watched Running the Sahara? It is (or was) on instant netflix. Pretty good! These three guys run across the entire Sahara, like nonstop. 4300 mi in 111 straight days?! Craze.

Have a great time!
I actually bought “Marathon Challenge” for the boyfriend for Christmas last year because he liked the special so much on TV.
