Fall Premieres

My my – can I just tell you: I have the most fabulous readers/blog friends ever known to man? Ya’ll sure do know how to make a girl feel good!

I know I said it a lot yesterday, but I’ll say it again – THANK YOU so much for everything YOU DO!

Don’t forget to enter the contest!  It ends tomorrow at noon!

Alright – back to the regularly scheduled program!

I am addicted to Chobani this week (good thing, considering I have 12 in my fridge to use before 9/30)!    Breakfast was Peach Chobani, with some PB Puffins & a side of Coffee in my “World’s Best Dad” mug!

I figured the above picture was a much nicer example of “what I had for breakfast”, than the amorphic blob of white below:razz:

flder6 008

Was I right?

While we have carrots & broccoli out the WAZOO, we are running low on salad fixins (as you know – my GO TO lunch) – so I’ve tried to get a little creative this week.  I’ve had this can of chili in my cupboard for about a month now:

and I figured Tuesday was the perfect day to try it out!

The whole can itself was kind of high in calories, so I decided to split it into 2 servings, and save one for later.  To bulk it up, I threw in some broccoli:

Verdict:

Very good! There was tofu in this can – so you actually couldn’t really tell it was supposed to be “vegetarian” because it still had a “meaty” look at feel.  For me – I don’t mind that – I’m not opposed to meat, and will eat in on occasion.  I know others want vegetarian options because they don’t like the taste of meat – so if that’s the case – I’d say maybe try another version of vegetarian chili!

I also had some broccoli/carrots/hummus with lunch – look how big these suckers are!!!

flder6 003

I really didn’t realize the amount of carrot sticks I would get out of those 3 honkin’ huge carrots – I ended up eating about half of this bowl:

flder6 013

If I wake up orange tomorrow – you’ll know why!

For a snack – I had more yogurt – mixed with half a box of Kashi Honey Sunshine (I got this sample in the mail a few weeks back!)

flder6 015

I’m not sure what is with me – but yogurt of all times has just been tasting so amazing lately.  I’m weird, I know.  That shouldn’t be news to you!

Since Tuesdays are my “do what you want because Mike’s not home” night – I made a simple, but delicious – and COLORFUL wrap for dinner:

Pinto beans, cheese, hummus, red pepper, orange pepper, banana pepper, & broccoli!  YUM!!!

flder6 033

With a few more carrots and broccoli on the side!  Oh – and PICKLES! How could I forget!  Don’t worry – I don’t eat the ends/nubs of these either!

Hope ya’ll are having a great week!  Is anyone else super excited for the premiere of Flash Forward tonight?!?!?!?! I can’t wait – from the first preview I saw – I was super excited about the show!

What “Fall Premiere” are you most looking forward to??

GREY’S!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so disappointed that 24 doesn’t start again until January. I need my Jack Bauer fix!

Ok I’m probably the only female on the earth, but I love Son’s of Anarchy on FX!! Such a great show!

That chilli broccoli mix is such a good idea! Chilli is really cheap to make so that would be an awesome lunch option.

I’m looking forward to Lost but I think it might actually be a winter premiere! I was really looking forward to Mad Men..and it has delivered.
Your wrap is purty! Making me want some veg.

mmm I love beans. They are so yummy. You are making me want some veggie chili for din din. I’ve been going back and fourth all day about what I want for dinner. I, like Courtney, can’t wait for Lost but its not going to start forever!

I was/still am excited for Top Chef, Biggest Loser and the Office.
Curious about how you compare the Chobani vs. the Light and Fit. I used to love the L&F and now feel like they taste so fake in flavor. Just a personal observation, but I wanted to know if you had any interesting reactions to the two.
Happy Thursday!

I was excited for Modern Family last night and it did not dissapoint!! It was hysterical! I will be tuning in every week. I would love to watch Flash Forward but it cuts into my Office time and since I live in the dark ages I don’t own a dvr to dvr it :(
ah well, that’s what the internet it for!
I can’t wait for lost either, but I need to watch last season first!

I was looking forward to Gossip Girl and finally got to watch it last night on Hulu!
I’ve got lots of Chobani to eat up to, but I love it so it shouldn’t be a problem!

I’m loving the look of your wrap!! What a GREAT idea to put banana peppers on it!!! I’m going to have to pick up a jar of those. I get them on sandwiches at subway all the time. Yum!!! Happy anniversary again!!!

Holy moly, SOOO many things I love about this post. First of all – your colorful wrap seriously made me smile. You’d be a great mom!! Your kids would eat up everything you made them in a FLASH. Hell I’d like to be your kid. hahaha OK, not to be creepy or anything…

I couldn’t have told there was tofu in the TJ”s chili!!! Thanks for introducing it to me. I totally do what you do – beefing up denser soups with veggies. It’s the cool thing to do yes? :D hehe

I’m really looking forward to Grey’s, too

Glad you liked my link to your blog :)

So Tuesday nights are your alone nights too?? Does Mike work, or does he play poker like NICK?! Every Tuesday night Nick plays poker, and he comes home anywhere between 10 and 1 (depending on how well he plays).

Nick has been looking forward to Flash Forward for a while, but I’m not sold. I just think we already watch enough tv and I don’t think we need anymore shows!! Either way, we’re gonna give it a try.

Love the wrap! Looks like my solo dinners.
I loved the Gossip Girl premiere. And I like Biggest Loser too.

[Reply]

I was really excited for How I Met Your Mother! It was amazing! I addicted to greek yogurt too!

[Reply]

I don’t really watch TV by schedules, we rent shows after they’ve already run for awhile. Having said that, the new “Bored to Death” HBO show with Jason Schwartzman and Zach Galifianakis looks good!

[Reply]

I love your rainbow wrap. It looks seriously beautiful. I’m with Emma. I’m excited for “Bored to Death.”

[Reply]

I love that chili!! It’s my favorite meatless chili out there. And your wrap literally looks like the rainbow. I’m stoked for Flash Forward as well! It looks rrrreally good. Similar to Heroes type of thing – and I’m a Heroes fan :-)
