This weekend, Cleveland had the MOST BEAUTIFUL early fall weather! Gorgeous blue skies (pay no attention to all the power lines I managed to get in the picture) – refreshing cool crisp air – THIS IS THE WEATHER I LIVE FOR!

I got up nice and early and headed off to the gym to get my work out in! I RAN 1 mile on the treadmill, then did a 45 minute Pilates class (LOVED IT!), followed up by another 3 miles on the treadmill. As of Saturday – my foot felt pretty good as I was getting back into the swing of running after being injury hiatus.
My gym is right by Target, so I stopped there afterward really quickly to return some stuff, and pick up some baking supplies – and just happened to walk out with a Pumpkin Spice Americano! MMMMM! Fall-y!

I ran into a friend in the Target parking lot, and found out one of my favorite annual events was happening this weekend (wait for it – I’ll get there in a minute) – so I rushed home to shower and eat. Lunch was my leftovers from the night before – 1/2 of a Buffalo Chicken Wrap, as well as most of the fries!

YUMMMMMY!
So the “annual” event I just refered to - is the Rocky River Invitational Volleyball Tournament. Rocky River is where I went to high school - I played – AND coached volleyball there. Two years ago I coached the Freshman team – so it was fun to show up and watch all my girls who are now Juniors, playing on Varsity.

The head coach is one of my best friends from high school (and fellow co-captain, circa 1999 – yeah – I’m lame!)

Townie? You bet!

The girls played well, and it was great to get to visit with so many familiar faces! While Mike has every right to tease me for being a townie – it’s nice to go back to a place where everyone remembers you and is genuinely happy to see you!
By the time I got home – it was almost 5pm, and I was pooped because I’d been going NON-STOP since about 8am. When Mike suggested Cici’s for dinner – I jumped all over it!
I got my typical huge salad:

Delicious bowl of pasta salad:

and 3 pieces of pizza – plain, Mac’n'Cheese, and Buffalo Chicken!

Later in the night – we headed over to my parents so we could watch the OSU/USC game – which only served to make us extremely frustrated. OSU was by far the better team – but Terelle Pryor is just not a good QB. I feel bad for the kid, but he doesn’t know what he is doing out there, and it becomes painfully obvious as soon as any sort of pressure is put on him. I have a feeling this is going to be a LONG season (but you know I am still going to love every single second of it! College football makes me happy!)
Hope you had a great weekend!

Mmm, another good Fall favorite drink? Get a chai latte with a shot of espresso (i’ve heard this called a “dirty hippie” or a “dirty chai”) and add a flavor shot of pumpkin. It is sooo good!
Looks like a fun weekend of sports, too

Love the colored text-gorg!
Haha Cici’s is such a odd place I always thought. I’ve been there a couple times. The salad bar is awesome! I haven’t had much of their pizza though.
Go Huskers and Tigers! <.<
