BOO!
Happy Halloween!
Glad to hear you are all doing fun things this weekend! I really wanted to go to our friends party – but my insanity type-A-easily-stressed personality just isn’t allowing it with my upcoming departure to San Fran. Maybe some day I’ll chill out…
5 days straight – PB & Pumpkin Butter Oats:

Friday morning – one of my co-workers told me to QUICKLY get up from my desk and head down the hall. For a minute – I was worried – but then I saw these little lovelies:

Seriously – how adorable are they???

I saw these guys last year (click here for their 2008 costumes!), and I think it’s hysterical they change there outfits every year! Who knew dogs could be so high maintenance with their costumes on Halloween!

I’d been putting off going to the grocery store all week, so Friday it was either pack a can of spaghettios for lunch, or pick something up. With there being a Rockne’s about 7 minutes from my work…what choice do you think I picked?

I’m seriously addicted. I’ve never liked a Buffalo Chicken salad this much! I used the House Italian dressing for the flat bread, and then just eat the salad “plain” because the amount of buffalo sauce they use is perfect for a dressing!!
The only problem with this salad – I ALWAYS feel like I need to eat every bite, but I’m always full about half way through.
I definitely ate the entire thing – and subsequently wasn’t hungry until 8pm!!!
Because I was so full – it gave me time to run to the store after work before I was worried about dinner. While I was at Marc’s (a Cleveland “discount grocery store”) – I stumbled upon these in the freezer section:

ORGANIC SUNSHINE BURGERS!
I was SO excited! They had 3 flavors, but this Barbecue looked too good to pass up – so I bought it and rushed home to make it for dinner!
Now this may look like a plain dinner:

But HOLY.FLIPPIN.COW. This was the best “non-meat” burger I’ve EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!
I love Boca, and feel so-so about Morning Star – but this Sunshine Burger wasn’t even in the same ballpark!!!! It tasted amazing! Every single thing about them were just awesome – so to keep it short and sweet – if you see these – BUY THESE!!!
As for me – I think I’m off to take a nap with this little goblin:

Have a great night! Be safe!!!

I LOOKED FOR THOSE FOR DINNER TONIGHT and HyVee didn’t have them! Argh but I did make vegan cupcakes to make up for it.

They had some kids in my office in costume that were cute, but it would have been awesome if people brought their dogs!

Mmmm…buffalo chicken salad! I love buffalo chicken salads because they taste like they’d be SO bad for you…but they’re not! Especially if eaten like yours without the heavy ranch dressing!
So, I have mixed feelings about dressed up dogs. I mean, I like to look at them but I always wonder how aware they are. Like, do they feel like they’ve lose their dignity?

I haven’t found Sunshine Burgers here yet, but I will definitely look for them when I’m out of town next week! (as my out-of-town shopping usually just consists of food shopping and nothing else
)

Oooh!! Love Sunshine Burgers! I stumbled upon them b/c they are gluten-free and many other veggie burgers are not. So good!
Oh, if you ever see Artichoke Burgers, don’t pass them up….they are right up there with the Sunshine Burger:

I know you’ll appreciate this: my husband and I went to Marc’s last night before trick or treating started. Our cashier was dressed up as Marc Glassman: mustache, white hair, parrot and all! I wish I took a picture of her – it was fantastic!

Love sunshine burgers because they are made with rice instead of soy!
