Aye Curramba!
Where has this week gone?!?! It’s Thursday (not to mention – ALMOST NOVEMBER) – life is flying by!!
I started my day of the sweetest way (yeah – I’m an aspiring poet…
):

I’ll tell ya someone else who is diggin’ these dessert oats for breakfast (yes – I refer to my dog as a “someone”):

I always let her lick the PB spoon clean. I mean – I think I’d look like a glutton licking every last morsel of PB off the spoon, and she definitely GOES TO TOWN making sure it’s clean (No – we do not keep her bowl in the middle of our kitchen floor – she’s licked it all the way over there!)
Lunch was eat with a side of work:

Iceberg, chickpea, pepper salad with Ken’s (LOVE!) Lite Caesar, and some home made SodaStream Diet Grapefruit Drink!
I made sure I was properly fueled throughout my busy afternoon with – Some Celestial Seasonings Peppermint Tea:

I finished the box!
This was the first flavor of theirs that I ever tried – and it was love at first sip. Such a nice, calming flavor. I HIGHLY recommend!
Some Spooky Smore’s:

and one of the last muffkies with some PB & chocolate chips!

For dinner (after I spent 20 minutes sitting outside Mike’s “Man Room” whining that we had nothing to eat…) – I finally went and stared at my cupboard, and did my best to channel my inner college student. College Allison came up with:

Did anyone else live off of Knorr Pasta Sides in college? My weekly grocery list** from 2000 to 2005, (yes – college took 5 years for me) literally consisted of the following:
- 10 packages of Knorr Pasta Sides
- 1 huge hunk of Kroger Swiss cheese
- 1 bag of Kroger tortilla chips
- 1 container of Kroger Picante sauce
That was it! That got me through the week! Oh yeah – and a few drunken TB runs thanks to my roomate still having her parent’s credit card. Man – was that the life!
I digress…
So I did my best to beef up the pasta by adding beans and tuna! The end result:

Not too shabby, but blander than hell! I added a ton of garlic salt, and crushed red pepper. Then it was “just right”!
Okay – gotta go, go, go! Happy Thursday!!! Anyone wearing a costume to work tomorrow?
** feel free to comment on the absolute absurdity of my grocery list

I totally dropped the ball on Halloween this year. I have nothing.
I refer to my dog as a person sometimes. He is one, really.

You’re a nicer pet mom than I am, I keep the goodies to myself
If I would have stayed on the right track, college would have been 5 years for me. I’m on the 8 year plan now!

Grady always gets the rest of the milk leftover from when I have cereal. I tend to lick the bowl dry when I have oatmeal in the AMs!

Are you ready for a weird and random comment? It’s just one of those nights. So the other day I was thinking about how everyone says “Hugh Jass” salad now and if you google Hugh Jass salad, all these hits come up and all because I decided that it would be funny if I said Hugh Jass salad. And then I got to thinking about other “catch phrases” and I thought about how Bart Simpson said, “Ay Caramba” and how whoever thought it would be funny to say that must feel so cool now whenever anyone says “Ay Caramba.” And then tonight you said “Ay Caramba.” If you had had a hugh jass salad today, this would have been the perfect comment. Jeesh, I need to get over myself.

My cats will lick their bowls across the floor, so I got a mat to hold the bowls in place.
I have a soda stream and make several bottles of seltzer a day for me and my husband. I love it! Of course, I had to buy mine. The folks at Soda Stream are welcome to send me replacement CO2 tanks though…

IMO, garlic and red pepper will fix just about anything! I’m laughing at your college grocery list…I am still amazed when I think that I used to spend only $25 or less at the grocery store every week. I think my list was a big ol’ bag of spinach, feta cheese, reduced fat peanut butter, bread and coffee creamer. Ah, memories

I lived off of ham salad, rye bread and Campbell’s chicken noodle soup. That was every meal. If I could scrounge the change, I would drive to KFC and order a large cole slaw and eat the whole thing as a meal.
You should try the other Ken’s dressings if you haven’t already. They’re delicious.
