Okay, okay – you can quit harassing me – I’ll show you my new hair!
(and what I mean by “harassing” is: thank you all for being so nice and caring about my hair.
You were so sweet with your requests, I had to appease you!)
Old & New:

I really wasn’t kidding when I said the “cut” was just BARELY a trim! But my hair is a lot darker! I hope you like!
Breakfast - My first experience with PB Puffins “To Go”:

I like to let my Puffins hang out in milk for a little while because I don’t like them extra crunchy. However, apparently – they length of my car ride to work is just a little too long. The top were still crunchy, and the bottom were SUPER soggy! But that’s okay – I still ate them!
My co-worker Trent had offered to bring me in some pretty wicked sounding pretzels last week – and he made on his promise yesterday and brought me – not ONE – BUT THREE of these Kim & Scott Gourmet Pretzels!!!!
They’ve got some pretty sweet bragging rights: All Natural, No Trans Fat, No Hydrogenated Oils, Made in a Nut Free Facility, No Preservatives – and the best thing – you can microwave them in the pouch they come in!
How long do you think I waited to make one after I received them?

Long enough to walk down to the cafeteria to get some mustard for dipping – that’s how long!

Um. WOW. Go HERE and order these now. You will NOT be sorry! This sucker was AMAZING! It’s covered in cheese, and there is cheese INSIDE!!!! Yeah!
Since I ate that whole huge pretzel at 10am – lunch became a 3 hour grazing meal!
Some hummus and peppers around 1:

Followed up with the rest of my leftover tofu around 1:30!

To avoid the Halloween candy jars – I made sure to bring my own sweet treat yesterday – some nice COLD dried apricots!

The perfect way to end a Thursday? A free dinner, celebrating the fact that we are done with Yawpfest (I know – aren’t you sick of hearing about it?
)
We had dinner reservations for 20 at Carraba’s – so Angelina and I headed over early to grab a drink! I ordered the Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc:

which was absolutely divine! Honestly – it’s the best Sauv Blanc I’ve had in a while!
Between all of us – we ordered a whole bunch of appetizers – and I was all over the calamari:

I know with most people – you either LOVE or HATE calamari. I LOVE it – but I hate the “spider” pieces. I’m always super happy when there aren’t any “spiders”. Notice above – no “spiders”!
Next was the Carraba’s House salad with creamy garlic parmesan dressing!

and my meal: Chicken Bryan – I get it EVERY time!

Grilled chicken topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomato, and basil lemon butter sauce!! By the time my meal came I was stuffed from all the earlier munchies – so I ate the broccoli with the sun dried tomatoes, and brought the chicken home for Mike!
Question – does anyone else order this at Carraba’s? I swear it used to be served with STEAMED broccoli.
Yesterday it came with cheesy, breadcrumb covered broccoli. Don’t get me wrong – it was delicious – but I was looking forward to some nice healthy steamed broccoli. Am I remembering it wrong???
Our last committee gathering, FINALLY saying goodbye to Yawpfest 2009!

Thanks for a great night, and a fun 10 months of planning everyone!

I don’t go to Carrabbas ever. But, I don’t really expect a whole lot from chains anymore. It’s pretty tough to find veggies with no oil, butter or seasoning in a restauant.
