Foodbuzz Festival – Friday Night

Now where did we leave off?

We registered and picked up our swag bags around 3:

We got a ton of awesome free stuff!  I can’t wait to lay it all out and take pictures of it!! (yeah – I’m a dweeb!)

Then headed over to the Hotel Vitale for our cocktail party, hosted by Skyy!!

Pineapple infused vodka with soda water – TO DIE FOR!

The party was on the hotel rooftop, and the view was AMAZING!   Not only was the view something to rave about – but so was finally being able to meet a whole bunch of my blogging friends in person!  :)   Me with my roomies Janetha and Quinn, and then Andrea (my fellow Ohioan) and Amanda!

Blurry, but still beautiful! ;)

After cocktail hour, we all headed over the the Ferry Building/Market for the Street Food Fare tasting:grin:

My favorite food of the evening was from Alive, an all raw, all organic catering company:

My favorite drink of the evening??  The Blood and Sand!

  • Glenrothes Select Reserve
  • Cinzano Sweet Vermouth
  • Cherry Liqueur
  • Orange Juice

I really DO heart Foodbuzz!

On our way out – Jasmine convinced me I should try this beet salad (I’ve yet to find a beet prepare to my liking – I think they are funky!)   Well – I must admit…I finally met my match!  The beets in this salad were WONDERFULLY prepared, and tasted quite delicious!   The golden beets were ABSOLUTELY the best!

We also hit up the beer stand right next to the exit – very strategic placement – they didn’t need to twist my arm to try anything!

Which gave us time to talk to this lovely lady!

The Street Food Fare was awesome, and the perfect start to a fun, FOOD & DRINK filled weekend!   More recaps to come!!

It’s so funny to see peoples’ different reactions to the food. I’ve read some people saying that the raw food wasn’t that good and it was your fav! I wish I could’ve tasted it to have my own opinion :P

Aww your trip looks so fun! Glad you enjoyed yourself. And pineapple infused vodka sounds ridiculously dangerous – in a good way. I have got to look out for that. :)
