to Cali, Cali…
I’m not really going BACK, since I’ve never been before – but you get my point. I’m gangster
Anyhow – as you are reading this – I should be somewhere high in the skies! In my absence – I thought I’d catch you up on yesterday! (It’s not as exciting as it sounds – roughly 14 hours of my day was spent in front of a computer screen…)
Breakfast – more vanilla yogurt and POM, but this time I switched things up and used Honey Nut Cheerios as the cereal!

Doesn’t it look pretty all together?

For lunch I tried to finish off the rest of my taco leftovers, by making another TACO SALAD!

Doesn’t that combo look fantastic?

I even brought 2 types of dressing – HOW COULD ANYTHING GO WRONG?

I’ll tell ya how!
I used the wrong fridge – which was set so cold – my lettuce totally FROZE! So my first bite was ICY, and SLIMY – not a nice combination at all!
Luckily – the cafeteria was still open, so I headed down to grab some lettuce there (of course – they only had spinach! I mean – everyone knows a taco salad is 20 times better with iceberg lettuce as opposed to spinach – but hey – beggars can’t be choosers!
)
Take 2:

I ended up just eating the chicken as a side!
My snack wasn’t really a snack – it was more like early mini-dinner, since I ate it at 5! One of my last Spooky Smore’s (atop my never ending list of “things to take care of before I leave” list!)

My darling husband called me at work to say he wanted to treat me to dinner so I didn’t have to worry about cooking before I left (love him!) – so we decided on pizza! He ordered it, I picked it up on my way home!
MMMMMM Papa Johns!!!

Hardly gourmet – but really damn good!
And no – I didn’t eat the whole thing – but I did eat straight out of the box! Why dirty a plate?
As soon as I had my last bite of dinner – I started packing! I think I did a pretty good job – and I even remembered to bring lots of snacks so I don’t have to rely on airport food!

I was lucky enough to have a little helper! Doesn’t it look like she’s ready to go? As if the bag is her’s, she is just waiting on me?
Love her! (I’m gonna miss her and Mike so much!!!)

I’m hoping to be able to blog at least once while I’m in San Fran, (if not twice!)
However – it shouldn’t make any difference to you, because you will be in good hands while I’m away!!
When I put the call out for guests bloggers a few weeks ago – I got an awesome response, and some really great guest posts! Ya’ll are gonna love the guest posts I have in store for you!
See ya soon!!

Yeah, good call on bringing snacks, airport food is awful! I realized last time that if I was on a diet, I would FAIL at an airport. Even just eating something healthy, period, I failed. IT’s impossible. So frustrating.

Ohh your breakfast looks so pretty! But UGH I hate when my fridge freezes lettuce! If the bag gets too far in the back of the fridge, it’ll freeze. It’s so disgusting. Have fun in San Fran!
