In yo FACE!

I don’t know about you – (maybe it’s just because I don’t travel that often) – but for me – the week before I leave on a trip/vacation – always ends up being so stresful and jammed packed!   This week is no exception!   Work is busy (YAY!), and I’ve been go, go, go non-stop trying to get ready for my trip.    But in exciting news – I’ll be in San Francisco in two days!!!!

Breakfast – sweet Stonyfield Vanilla yogurt, tart pomegranate seeds, and some crunchy PB puffins:

All mixed up:

Awesome combination!!

For lunch - I reheated my veggified Velveeta shells and cheese from last night:

Did anyone else use to eat Velveeta shells and cheese with a sliced hot dog in it?  I ate it ALL the time in college (perhaps that may account for the colossal weight gain) – but that would have to be one of my all time favorite easy dishes.  Soooo delicious, and so bad all at the same time!

After lunch – I found nice little surprise on my desk:

11.3upload 024

A bucket full of candy (obviously) – with the most beautiful thank you note I’d ever received, from my friend Angelina!   Thank YOU, Ang!

While I was shopping Sunday – I found some new fun snacks for when the 3pm munchies hit – so as soon as 3pm rolled around – I broke right in!

Parmesan & Sundried Tomato Rice Works! These were fantastic!  Honestly – the flavor tasted EXACTLY like Cool Ranch Doritos, and the texture was thicker and crunchier than a normal tortilla chip.  I’d definitely buy these again!  Only thing is – I’ll avoid buying the large bag because you know I could do some SERIOUS damage!

After work, I ran and did some last minute San Fran shopping – and after trying on a TON of shirts – I think I finally picked a winner!  (the winner is in this bunch – but you’ll just have to wait until the Festival to see what I picked!)

Dinner didn’t happen until after 9  but when I finally got to eat it – it was DAMN GOOD!

I made some chicken – and turned it into “taco meat” – so Mike could have tacos, and I could have a Taco Salad!    Everything looked and smelled so beautifully while I was cooking – I wanted to take tons of pictures for you – but my kitchen is so dark!

So I have – the final product (no flash – too yellow-y):

Looks like I should begin my campaign for an SLR & photography classes for Christmas now – don’t ya think?!

Hope you are having a great week!!!!

I ate hot dog and mac and cheese over the summer :-) Why haven’t I done that more recently? I’ll be sure to fix that if I make it to a TJ; their turkey hot dogs are so good.

For my kids-and me-I boil Annie’s (mac & cheese) shells, & when almost done I throw in cut up hot dogs & frozen broccoli. I drain it all together & then squeeze in the cheese packet. It is SO good! My husband won’t eat it, its ‘kid food’. Whatever more for us!

I want an SLR camera too. I put one on my wedding registry. :)

I like the purple shirt the best.

Packing ALWAYS stressed me out. Always. Eeee have fun in SF! I wish I was going :-( Just can’t afford to make the drive back home for it! Bummer since my fam lives only 30 minutes away – perfect place to stay!

Cool ranch doritos are my favorite dorito and I haven’t had them in at lease 5 years. I need to find these chips.

Very cute tops! All of them look great!

When I was growing up we had shells and cheese with hotdogs in it A LOT! I requested it pretty much any time my Mom asked what I wanted for dinner. A restaurant near our house also had it on their menu and I thought it was the greats place ever!

I requested a Canon Rebel for my early graduation present :)

Okay so I know you love chips but is that why you always know of so many delicious kinds? I’ve never seen these RiceWorks chips but they sound amazing.

I’m voting for the purple shirt or the last blue one personally. I guess I’ll have to WAIT AND SEE. [via the blog, of course.]

When I was preggers, I totally craved mac and cheese and hot dogs. I wouldn’t recommend it for trying to keep off those extra pregnancy pounds. Same goes for nightly root beer floats.

You’re smart to start your packing early. I always do too. It’s stressful anyway for me so it helps not to have the stress of last-minute packing added to it.

Oh good, so I’m not the only blogger who’s week before the Fest is nuts-o! I haven’t even thought about what I’m going to wear!!!!

Tomorrow we’re in San Fran!!!!!! Cannot wait to take that city by storm!

Packing stresses me out, too. I try to do it well in advance (oh crap, cruise in one month, time to start) so that helps a little.

I hope you have an absolute BLAST in San Fran. Can’t wait to hear all about it:D

I like all the shirts you tried on so I can’t wait to see what you picked!! Good luck with the packing stress – I hate that part about going out of town. It’s the worst!

[Reply]

pretty sure some of those shirts are from Ann Taylor Loft, and the only reason i know that is because i’m IN LOVE with that store. i can’t wait to see the winner!

[Reply]

i can’t believe is SF is already this weekend!!! I can’t wait to meet everyone

[Reply]

i hope you bought several of those shirts because you seriously looked good in all of them! great picks–you make me want to go shopping :)

[Reply]

i am kind of partial to the purple and blue – it looks fab with your skin tone!

[Reply]

^^ This is what I was going to say! The purple and the last blue shirt really show off your gorgeous skin!

What a lovely bucket full of goodies! How sweet! :-)

[Reply]

love, love, love all the shirts! Can’t wait to see which one you choose for SF. Have a fun safe trip Alli! =)

I just made your trick em’ mac and cheese and made hot dogs with it! I did use veggie dogs to make it more healthy, but that was a common dinner in my house as a kid and I think the combo is awesome and must be had together. We also add peas to the mac and some Frank’s :)

[Reply]

Oooo – I have been seeing those chips everywhere, but haven’t had the guts to purchase…going to do that ASAP now!
