Saturday – Foodbuzz Tasting Pavilion

Hello my beauties!   I know I’m still catching you up on the weekend – but I don’t feel right skipping any parts – because the whole thing was awesome!  I promise regular blogging will resume shortly!

The HIGHLIGHT of the Foodbuzz Festival for me is a dead heat tie –  between the Saturday Afternoon Tasting Pavilion & the Saturday night Outstanding in the Field Dinner!

Right off the bat, I found these familiar, smiling faces (and lucky winners of the Nature’s Pride Sponsorship!!)

Brandi from Bran Appetit:

Sabrina from Rhodeygirl Tests:

and Brittany from Eating Bird Food!

Healthy Living Bloggers representin’!

Foodbuzz totally out did themselves – one event after another!  Just when I thought “WOW!  This is fantastic!  They really knocked it out of the park considering this was the first year for the festival” – they went and did something even more amazing!

There.Was.So.Much.Food!

11.9fromupload 122

and not just ANY food.  AWESOME FOOD!  Like this seviche from Fuego:

Sweets everywhere!

SavorySsweet Autumn Tarts:

11.9fromupload 128 11.9fromupload 129 11.9fromupload 131

and this Kerrygold Aged Cheddar Cheese with Irish Whiskey (OH.MY.AMAZING!!!!!!!!)

11.9fromupload 132 11.9fromupload 133 11.9fromupload 135

Mezzetta/Skyy made some crazy martinis – they involved vodka, strawberries, basil, roasted red peppers, and a pepper garnish!

11.9fromupload 137

I was super skeptical as to how this was going to taste…

11.9fromupload 138

…but it was FABULOUS!    The flavors all blended so well together – I loved it!

When I wasn’t drinking – I was taking more food to the face!

11.9fromupload 139

At 1 – we had our next breakout session – Sparkling Whites!

11.9fromupload 142

  11.7fromQuinnupload 096

Diligently taking notes!  (yes, in my shades – it was crazy bright in the room!)

11.7fromQuinnupload 101

Don’t worry – I didn’t stop there – the wine samples just kept-a-comin’!

11.9fromupload 153 11.9fromupload 155

 11.9fromupload 156 11.9fromupload 157

and as if the wine wasn’t enough – they had beer too!

I tried this for you Meri – If you drink, don’t drive to the Watermelon Crawl!

21st Amendment Brewery Watermelon Wheat Beer!

11.9fromupload 159 11.9fromupload 160

This stuff was quite tasty!  But of course – they don’t sell it in stores in Ohio! :(

11.9fromupload 161

Awesome new bloggie friends!

11.9fromupload 162

The next few items I tried just for Mike (since he couldn’t be there with me) – Vibrant Flavors Flavored Pretzels: flavored without powder – so no sticky fingers!

11.9fromupload 163

My favorite – the Beerzels!   Mike has been known to quote “These pretzels are making me thirsty” on more than one occasion!   Major props to anyone who knows where that quote is from!

11.9fromupload 165

I also tried some natural organic hot dogs from these guys:

But the samples didn’t stop there!

The Tasting Pavilion was just an absolutely awesome afternoon!  I can’t thank Foodbuzz enough for putting on such an AWESOME EVENT!

I love the I <3 FoodBuzz wine charm!

If pretzels make Mike thirsty, you guys should come to our 3rd annual Festivus Holiday Party this year ;-)

Those desserts look amaazing. I love pretzels! I may have to order some since they have none of that annoying powder. I don’t think I’d know what to eat first it all looks so good!

It was fun meeting you on Thursday, despite the crazy loud bars! Looks like you guys had a blast this weekend – love reading everyone’s recaps. I think I’m pretty much sold on this Kerrygold Cheddar (and maybe the butter too!) after reading everyone’s rave reviews :)

Yeah, Nick and I couldn’t believe it when we saw it. We about died. We area already out :) Yeah, it’s that addicting, not good.

It looks like you had a GREAT time at the Foodie festival! Wow, all that food, and all that wine, my goodness. I can honestly say, from seeing yours and everyone else’s pictures, I would have rather gone to this festival than the FNCE in Denver!

This sounds so amazing! I bet you easily got filled up on great food! Plus, a bunch of food bloggers in one place is just amazing in itself!

[Reply]

your pictures have me drooling!…and that, my friend, is a seinfeld quote ;)

Loved the recap!! And who cares if its a few days later! I’ve had the Bandit Pinot Grigio – its not too bad! And since its in a box you can’t tell how much you’ve drank!
Glad you had such a great time! I may have to join you next year!

And I love the concept of Outstanding in the Field. I am actually on their email list. I have no problem paying $150 pp for a dinner, but its usually sold out by me before I get a chance to get tickets! :( It’s very popular!
