Two Cups

Yesterday – before I have even left for work – I knew it was going to be a “2 Cup” kind of day… 11.19fromupload 002

(Yes, I own not 1, but 2, #1 Dad Travel Mugs.  It just happens when you work a greeting card company!)

Breakfast involved 2 slices of bread, and 2 cups of butter (okay – that 2 cups of butter was a stretch, but I know at least Mama Pea would be proud of me for trying to stick with a theme)

Lunch: Flat Out with pinto beans, banana peppers, swiss laughing cow, and FRANK’S!

I have no segue into “then I had a snack” because there just wasn’t time for one.  In actuality – I rushed home at 6:15, hoping Lando did pee/poop in the house, and proceeded to work the rest of the evening.  Wah, wah, wah (Janetha knows the sound I just made!)

All work, and no play, makes Allison a DULL BLOGGER GIRL.  :???:

The one TRULY sad thing about being busy at work – there is SO MUCH LESS TIME TO THINK ABOUT FOOD:wink:

I was feeling inspired for dinner though – (I think Brandi puts hypnotic suggestions in her posts, because all I’ve been able to think of lately is sun-dried tomatoes and pesto!) – so I came home, and broke out my Foodbuzz swag:

and my leftover spaghetti squash, and sun-dried tomatoes – to make THIS:

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I don’t think it would have mattered what I put the pesto/tomato combo on, I’m certain I would have loved it!   I think I may have officially found “my last meal”!

For dessert, I was REALLY craving sweets – so I decided to try out this Sleepytime Vanilla from Celestial Seasonings (LOVE THEM!).  I really enjoyed it – but Lando gave up quickly.  Here’s her take on the whole thing…(it’s Lando speaking in the quotes, in case you didn’t get that)

“OH MOMMY!  THING! THING! THING!  THING? CAN I HAVE SOME? I WANT SOME! SMELL THING! GIVE ME THING!…”

11.19fromupload 010

“I’m tired of standing against the counter as if I own the place, I’m tired of what Mommy have been doing for the last 3 seconds” (YES, Lando learned proper English between the first picture and second)

11.19fromupload 011

“This bores me.  Please set down tea,  pick up treats, ice cubes, peanut butter, or veggies, any will do.”

11.19fromupload 012

Yeah.  God help me.  I just gave you a photo montage with description of what my ANIMAL was “saying”.  You know, because dogs talk.  I really may have lost it..

I MISS YOU ALL!!!!!

HAPPY THURSDAY!

Heeheehee! Lando is a cutie! I imagine him winding down after a long day with a cup of tea under a blanket with a good book.

The pesto spaghetti squash looks amazing!

i get so excited every time i see a flat out/laughing cow combo on your blog… i do it all the time. i used to make quick chicken tacos with corn tortillas, laughing cow, shredded chicken and green chiles and salsa. sounds odd, but it’s good!

frank’s question… do you use any of his other flavors?

i was kinda sad when i realized frank’s is higher in cals than i thought it would have been… and a tsp is a serving? a tsp? that is straight BS!!!

Get OUT of here with that sun dried tomato/pesto combo. I need it!! Of course dogs talk and of course I read those quotes in a special Lando-ish voice.

…I think I’m turning into a crazy dog lady!

I love Sleepy Time Tea! I buy the kind with valerian and it knocks me out (and gives me crazy dreams). Love the mugs too :)

I interpret Murphy’s thoughts for Jason all the time. And I say it in a certain voice because that is how Murphy would sound.

If it makes you feel better, I hear Max beg for treats, peanut butter and ice all the time. Lando and Max have something else in common! They both talk to their mommies! :)

Bahahhahaha love it! Have you considered a second career as an LOLCats/Dogs captioner? Also enjoying your 2 #1 dad mugs – maybe a trucker hat of some sort is in your future?

I have an idea, and this post only further enhanced the idea. I think we should have a “pet day” in blogland, where we all feature pictures of our pets, their names and maybe a short story about them. Want to get in on this with me? We can be “co sponsors” or something!

Let me just tell you- my husband and I have a “voice” for Lacy and have made up words like “snoogles” when we want to give her hugs and kisses and the other day our neighbor’s son brought over his boxer, Pete. We now have Lacy and Pete dating. Sometimes we just start bust out laughing at how we amuse ourselves!! If I ever had the time to start a blog I would name it “Dingo Bites” after my little dingo dog, Lacy.
