Dog Gone | Green Dog Wine

The snow is CRAZY here in Cleveland the past two days!

The doggies were lucky – the didn’t need to brave any of the crazy Cleveland weather, but they did keep diligent watch, over the snowy street, making sure everything was “okay”… 1.4eveningDSLR 013 Rough life, huh? 1.4eveningDSLR 015 I, however – had to go back to work – and for a FULL 5 DAY WEEK, not a cushy 3 day week – THE HORROR!

At least I was smart enough to get my shopping done before the snow piled on! I had great supplies for food yesterday!

Breakfast: Vanilla Oikos and blackberries! Followed by a colorful lunch: a “back-to-the-grind-work-through-lunch” salad – but I’m not going to lie – I’ve missed these suckers! (I’ve not missed the whole “back-to-the-grind” thing though!) Washed down with – a side of carrots! I didn’t plan on being at work as late as I was – so when dinner time CAME AND WENT and I hadn’t left yet – my stomach started getting ANGRY!

I broke in my drawer stash and found the perfect combo of carbs/protein to hold me over!

Mike was starving by the time I got home, and I didn’t feel like calling a z-bar dinner, so I went to work with these: 1.4 DSLR 017 and made this! Velveeta Mac’n’Cheese (Skim Milk!) with turkey dogs, and spicy chicken sausage! YUM, YUM, YUM! I could have EASILY eaten the entire pot by myself, this is one of my all time favorite comfort foods – so I was glad Mike was home last night to split it all with me!

The rest of the night was spent playing with a new toy I got in the mail! !!!!!!!!!!I returned the black one I got for Christmas because it didn’t have a heart rate monitor – then – to make life even better – I found out the 405 comes in GREEN!!!!!! I didn’t get to test it out yet, but I’m hoping to tonight! (indoors unfortunately, but I can still see how the heart rate monitor feels and works!)

I got a new forerunner for christmas too, but it is non-stop rain here in Oregon so I can’t take it out either Maybe I should just buck up and hit the pavement though. Have fun with it!

My dog Grady is LOVING all this snow. He keeps going in and out – out to play until he gets too cold then comes in to warm up, then begs to go back out! Personally, I’m SO over I480 being a snowy mess!

I’m totally obsessed with those TJ’s chicken sausages. Since I live inbetween the two TJ’s in the greater Cleveland area, I always buy a ridiculous amount of them. I’m a big fan of the sun dried tomato ones and the apple ones, but those jalapeno ones are a close third place!

I’m absolutely obsessed with Trader Joe’s – I just tried their apple and champagne flavored chicken sausage and LOVED it! I need to remember to incorporate it into mac ‘n’ cheese!

Oh yum, we didn’t have dinner yet and that mac and cheese turkey sausage combo looks to die for!

That chicken sausage sounds amazing! Mac&Cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods too!

does the velveeta skim taste much different? i usually get the reg. velveeta but the skim is much healthier!

I usually walk in the door and find my dog sleeping on our bed… she opens her eyes with a look of “oh you are home…” and I always tell her..”Sadie you have a great life”. Your doggies are cute looking out the window.

So I was so mad this season because Columbus ran out of Great Lakes Christmas ale FASTER than usual. Seriously, what’s the deal?! Ugh.
