I’ve been meaning to brag to you guys for almost a week now!
About what you ask?
My mad cereal makin’ skills:
![]()
[me]&goji let me make another customized mix, because I helped them promote their Facebook page! Are you a fan?! WHY NOT?! FAN THEM!
I loved their product the first time I got to try it this summer – and this time – I tried out new ingredients:
Don’t worry – I stayed away from the goldenberries this time! Guess what?? The saying should be “Second times the charm!”
This was a perfect combo of salty, sweet, crunchy, smushy, you name it! All the cereal/granola you’ve been seeing me eat lately in my yogurt has been my wonderful Green Dog Goji creation!
It’s perfect to eat as a mix in to oatmeal or yogurt, or just as plain cereal! Thanks [me]&goji!
Hence – my breakfast yesterday!
Pretty please with a blackberry(??) on top!
Lunch I actually surprised myself with! My friend Kristin had been talking about this awesome poppyseed salad her and her boyfriend always eat – so I thought “Hmm, wonder if I could create that at work?”
What do you think?
![]()
Pears, feta, Poppyseed dressing, and a drizzle of Balsamic Vinegar:
Pretty darn amazing for a work lunch – if I do say so myself! If you haven’t tried this combo out yourself – do it!
I didn’t get home from work until late (I really thought things were supposed to be dying down, but they are still pretty bad!) – so when I walked in the door – I wanted food, and I wanted it RIGHT THAT MOMENT. So what did I go for?
Weiners!
(Pervert!) (yep, I’m 4)
2 turkey dogs, with a salad and some more feta:
and a pickle of course!
I’d love to some more fun pictures or stories – but I’ve been so busy that I’m drained, and pretty boring this week!
I’ve got a few vacation days I’m planning on taking soon – do ya’ll have any fun ideas on what I could do with my days off?
Do tell!

Wow, you are seriously a very healthy conscious person. Your meals are so…. healthy! Well, I had recently just cleared a few days of vacation. I took my boys to the city and spent 2 days in a hotel and shopping till we dropped! On top of that, I’d also baked bread, cakes and cookies to my heart’s content:D Very relaxing if you like it.

My dad used to know a man named Dick Weiner and a man named Dick Cox. Seriously! I still think that’s funny and hopefully you do too!

Okay, was my comment totally inappropriate? Other people are talking about what you should do on vacation and of course, I bust in with my 4th grade humor.

I just enjoyed a staycation of my own before starting my new job this Monday. I spent it renovating some rooms, having friends/family over for dinner parties, working out, shopping for new work clothes and generally relaxing!
If I were you (and had planned my week better), I would hit up all the great CLE institutions – Cleveland Museum of Art, the Zoo (on a warmer day!), Detroit Shoreway area, Metroparks, and so on. I always forget about all the great things we have in town.

How exciting to have few days off! I would probably go visit my family and do a little shopping and movie-watching with my mom.
You know, there wasn’t a single puppy picture in that post! I miss them

I like to go hiking and get fresh air, get pedicures or manicures with friends, do some sort of activity I rarely have time for like a matinee or trip to the museum. Do you ski? SKIING! A quaint bed and breakfast with a friend, Mike or someone in the fam. Hotsprings? A trip to the Library and then a day in bed reading

I love using my days off as a time to do stuff I always mean to do but never get around to. Like visiting local museums, the aquarium, catching up on reading, etc. Just a thought, but whatever you do, ENJOY!

You totally have skills – not just in cereal making, in salad making awesomeness!! You even made your wieners look creative
My last staycation I completely organized and cleaned every room in our house. Not as fun as say the Caribbean
but it feels awesome to have everything in order.

Um, on my days off I relax and play with the puppy – but I’m sure you already do that so I’m not sure! More baking adventures, perhaps?

Make it a day about you. Get a massage, get yo nails did and then maybe spend the a few hours at a winery with some friends and appetizers and games. Whenever I have just a single day to play around with, I find myself driving to my favorite winery with a bag full of goodies and board games. SO relaxing.
