Ever since I was little – grocery shopping was one of my all time favorite things to do. I would BEG my mother to let me go with her. To this day – I offer to go with her if I’m at their house and she thinks it’s so weird! I think I’ve just been in tune with my inner foodie since a young age!
That being said – look at all the loot I got this weekend at Trader Joe’s & Costco:
The items I’m most excited about? These:
![]()
Between the $144 damage I did on NYE, and my trips on Saturday – I think we are set for a few weeks!
Being that I just spent a fortune on groceries, and our fridge was literally over flowing with food – Mike and I decided we should go out to Red Lobster for lunch!
We had LOTS of Red Lobster gift certificates, so we figured why not?! My all time favorite appetizer: Calamari!!
I love/hate the fact that almost all of their meals come with a salad. I love it, because their Caesar salad is DELICIOUS (and super salty!)
By the time my entree came – I was stuffed! I ate the scallops (because scallops reheated = GROSS!), and managed to eat the 5 shrimp too – but called it quits when it came to the broccoli, chicken, and pilaf!
1 meal for the restaurant, 1 meal for the next day Mike!
The rest of the weekend was pretty low key – but I have to share with you my 2 new favorite food finds!
1 – the best pre-packaged sushi I’ve ever found:![]()
This is from good old Trader Joe’s – so fresh, so tasty, and SUPER SUPER SUPER filling!![]()
If you see these, buy these!
And while we are talking about things I’m ordering you to buy products I love – check out these suckers I just happened to stumble upon at Costco this weekend:
Yeah, people. Buffalo Wing Flavored Pretzel Crisps.
I’d never tried these before, but I know Costco doesn’t always stock the same products – so I took at chance and bought them. SO GLAD I did! I’ve been talking about driving another 20 minutes back out there all day just to pick up 20 more bag!
If you see them, buy them!

I love grocery shopping too. My boyfriend doesn’t get it. He gets bored halfway through the store. I could spend HOURS in Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods just staring at everything.
We also spend a million dollars on groceries and then go out to eat!
I need to find those pretzel crisps!

I am a grocery shopaholic too! I love tagging along with my mom too! Mostly because she shops at a different store than I do so I have to check out all the different stuff there! I am so jealous of everyone who has a TJs! I don’t even know if there is one in my state! Everything you get from there always looks so good!

I think we all love grocery shopping! My husband thinks I’m nuts, but I love taking my time grocery shopping. And when I get to go to Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s….watch out! I linger even longer! I also tag along with my mom any time I am visiting and she has to make a grocery run. We oooh and ahhh together

You think you love grocery stores? I wanted to be the checkout lady so I could scan the items over the conveyor belt. Ah, childhood aspirations.
I am a HUGE fan of TJ’s sushi. I forgot why I bought it the first time, but I remember being SHOCKED with how good it was!

I love grocery shopping too! When I grew up I lived on an island and there wasn’t a lot of variety, and we didn’t have many products from the states. When I was stateside I would stand in front of the food aisles at GAS STATIONS and just marvel!!! I still do, actually!

Grocery stores and book stores. I can get lost for hours in both of them.
Costco is a bit like both combined come to think of it!!!

I used to be the same way about grocery shopping when I was a kid! It’s too bad the long lines and insanely small parking spaces in DC have now swayed my opinion

Haha @ Quinn! I was the same way. I loved pretending to work at a grocery store. My parents even bought me a little cash register that printed receipts and everything. It was cool. I apparently had low aspirations as a child.

I used to go to the grocery store on Friday nights in college sometimes.
That Costco tabbouli is really good. Have you tried it?

I <3 the grocery store!
I feel an odd sense of comfort when I'm there. The only problem is that I'm the girl that has to taste test EVERYTHING she bought the minute she gets home! :/
BTW– I thought those pretzels were the weird accordion ones I bought the last time we went to Marc's. Those were blah!
