When I got to work yesterday – I found a not so discretely labeled present on my desk:
Hmm, wonder why Finance would be giving me a gift?
It’s so weird to think I’ve been at American Greetings for 2 years! Some days – I feel like I’ve worked here forever, and other days – I feel like my first day was just yesterday!
Breakfast wasn’t anything special – just the end of the bread bag, so I had 3 pieces of toast (hey, I had to make the “butt” feel loved!)
Does anyone else call the end slices of bread “the butt”? I remember the first time I said it, Mike thought it was funny, so I wasn’t sure what other people called it! Do tell!
Lunch was leftovers from Sunday (you are about to notice this is a common theme with my meals in this post!
)
I can’t get over how great this pizza was! Also – I really can’t get over how fantastic it looks! :mrcool: Usually my dishes come out TASTING good, but looking a little rough around the edges! So when a dish is actually pretty, I LOVE it!
I’ve been stuck on naranjas for days now – perhaps I should switch it up – how do you say “orange” in French?
By the time I got home I was STARVING, so I was really glad that I had left over potato salad from the night before:
I really can’t wait to try and perfect the recipe! The Frank’s helped, but the whole mayo/mustard/vinegar ratio is way off!
Perhaps I’ll try again this weekend?
For dessert – I ate another one of my Sunday creations:
If I could only pick one cake/muffin/baked good to eat for the rest of my life – it would involve Lemon Poppy Seed!
After cleaning up the kitchen and folding some laundry – it was time to hit the couch for the “Girls Tell All” and some tasty popchips:
I ate every last one!
So – for those of you who got sucked in to this show like I did – Who do you think is going to win? Vienna???? Or Tenley????
I really want Tenley to win, but I have a BAD feeling Vienna is going to get the ring!

Orange in French is “orange.” Only you say it all fancy-like: Or-Ahnge.
I’m boring and call the “butt” the heel. I’m going to start saying butt though.

I call it a butt…my husband calls it a heel…but he’s southern and says things funny so it sounds like he calls it a hill, which makes butt seem less weird

I’ve always called it the butt too! But unlike you, i’m kinda wasteful and always throw it away…i’m not a huge butt fan.
By the way, I keep seeing those pop chips in the store but haven’t taken the plunge to buy them yet. How are they?

I totally know who wins, so I’m not going to comment. As for the “butt”, I’ve never heard of it but I like it

We always called it the heel. Speaking of a heel (groan), I finally figured out who Vienna reminds me of. Wait until you see the post I’m putting up tonight. You’ll die, and then tell me I’m a genius.

Ughh I definitely think that Vienna is going to win, and I don’t see it lasting. I really liked Allie and Gia … but I heard that Allie is the next Bachelorette! The Women Tell All special was dramaaa last night! And by the way, your pizza looks sooo good

Yea, we call it a heel. Poor thing. It is like the grocery cart at Wal*Mart with the bum-wheel.

My Finnish grandmother always called it the “gunda” (sp?). I don’t know if it’s real or made up, but that’s what I’ve always heard it called. I like your name for it though. Whatever works, right?

I always called it the heel of the bread. But either way, I’ve always liked that part of the loaf.
I have the same bad feeling about the outcome of the Bachelor.

I grew up calling it the “culo” which means butt in Spanish. So, I’m obviously keeping up with your international vocabulary.

I used to call it the butt but now that I’m a grownup I call it the ass-end. And dude, I don’t eat ass. I’ll give it to Scott though, he likes ass. Is that TMI?
