Look at these cute little Robo-eyed muffins!
They love sitting by the heat vents when it kicks on in the morning – I love how their arms are tangled. It’s the little things, ya know?
I got an early start on Thursday morning, by making it to my first spin class of 2010
I’ve been so consumed with marathon training – I forgot sometimes it’s really great to cross train!
Getting up early gave me extra time in my morning routine, which lead to…
What’s that in the sweaty tupperware?????
Oh yeah – SPICY OATS – FINALLY!!!!!!!!!
Never as pretty when it’s “on-the-go” but it’s definitely just as tasty!
I don’t know about you guys – but when I cook squash – I have to eat the leftovers FAST! Regular leftovers, I’ll let sit in my fridge for a week before I think they are “gross”, but anything over 2 days with squash and I FREAK!
Since we were out of chili – I decided I needed to call in the big guns to make this spaghetti squash lunch delicious:
I am ALWAYS the first person to look for a deal – and I’ve definitely bought my fair share of 99 cent bottles of spaghetti sauce… Mid’s is over $4 (I found it for $3.59 at Marc’s) – and it is WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT! Seriously – if you are going to splurge on one thing – splurge on this!
This was seriously delicious – and EASY since it was all leftovers!
Snack – naranjas
and since everyone else’s Thursday was my “Friday” – it was only appropriate that I stop for an adult beverage after work with my friend Angelina!
We stopped at Tartine Bistro, a newer (within the past year or so) wine bar in Rocky River.
To start – Vin Blanc (it was the special, you know I really wanted Sauv Blanc)
and Ang shared her food with me – I had my fair share of baked brie (!LOVE!)
and some of the most delicious pizza I’ve had in a long time. To show you how delicious – I’m posting one of the worst pictures I’ve taken in a long time!
Roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil puree. Seriously – AMAZING. This picture doesn’t do it justice!
In other news – did you hear Forbes is picking on Cleveland again?!?!?! First it was “Worst Winter”, not “Most Miserable City”?? Sure – for some, Cleveland can be a city that you love to hate, but at the end of the day – Cleveland really DOES rock! One of my favorite Cleveland bloggers said it perfectly – check out her post!
Clevelander or not – what do you think about Cleveland??

I’ve never been to Cleveland, but if YOU live there, it must be cool.

Like Cleveland’s a Plum, I was going to post today about my anger with Forbes. What do they know?! Instead, I decided to celebrate with the fantastic listing of every fish fry in the five county region. That’s one thing: we do know how to eat!

As a Clevelander who has lived in NYC for the past four years, my heart will always be in Ohio. Every time I go home, I feel proud to be from Cleveland and love showing it off to visitors, surprising doubters and making others fall in love. Cleveland DOES rock!!

I’ll stand up and represent with you! Cleveland is the city where we come from…
For real though, the criteria on that was horrible! We have Lebron, how much cooler can we get?!

Yeah I am a bit confused on the Most Miserable City title. Really?!? Just in this region of the country alone we have; Buffalo, Detroit, Toledo and Cincinnati just to name a few. So how is our dear Cleveland the most miserable out of the entire country? Eh, what does Forbes know anyways?!?

I love when my kitties sit all entangled like that.
Spaghetti squash is a favorite of mine. So simple. You can add it to just about anything. But I think plain old tomato sauce is my favorite!

I have lived here all my life & will admit I have not traveled much, BUT I have come to the conclusion that Cleveland is awesome! We have so many things going for us. Weather? I just drove back from Vermont thru New York-they barely plow their highways-it took 3 days! I-90 is most always clean & clear as are the main roads. I will take the bad with the good any day-our foliage is kick a$$ & summers are full of outdoor fun to be had. We have Lake Erie which is a mere three blocks from my house. We also have the Metroparks-nowhere in the U.S. has that! And the islands, a short drive to sun, booze & relaxation-even an amusement park. Oh and now there will be casinos! I won’t even mention all the rest since Alexa @ Cleveland’s Plum covered it so well! All that and the cost of living is so reasonable-try living the same lifestyle in Chicago. My final thought-its the best kept secret going!

I HATE how Forbes hates on Cleveland. Sure, it has its problems but what city doesn’t. There are so many great things about Cleveland like its restaurants, museums, and its people. Living in New York I constantly have to defend the place I grew up.

The river isn’t on fire anymore, right? So, Forbes decided to incite its own little fire. Forbes likes to do that shit…
I like C-land, though it has been quite awhile since I graced the Mama’s homeland with my presence. There seems to be a lot more to the area than meets the eye and in all honesty some of the nicest people I have met are from the greater C-land area.
My Nuggets beating the Cavs., the other night, in OT was EPIC. FUNNNN game, LeBron is pretty money
I would rather live in C-land than NYC in a heartbeat.

Cute puppy pics! I’ve never been to Cleveland but my cousin went to college there for s bit and loved it! I’m sure it’s a great place no matter what Forbes says! Memphis always wins their awards too, like fattest city and most crime! Haha

Haha. My boyfriend and I read that article and totally came to the conclusion that it was written by a southern conservative trying to hate on the Nawth and coastal big cities. And yes, I’m from Louisiana, and I guarantee it’s 500x more miserable here. I don’t know what was up with that list.
