Saurkraut isn't like corn hehe. I picked the the soycatash at Trader Joe's too - it has the corn in it. The chili oil is like sriracha so that is a great substitution for sure :) Maybe if you ate a bigger lunch and/or had a more protein packed snack you wouldn't be as starving when you got home?!
