Imagine the Combinations

Ya’ll came through for me again!   Look at ALL the wonderful book recommendations I have to get me started:

A FULL PAGE!!! Looks like I’ll be busy for a while!

For breakfast – I had toast again, but this time went back to the Smuckers Sugar Free Strawberry Jam:

The grape is NO GOOD! :(

Lunch was a nice fresh salad:

With my new obsession – I did a little half’n’half action

2.24 050

I’m seriously in love with Bolthouse dressings – so amazing!

My winter staple snack (I really wish citrus was in season all year long!)

2.24 051

and a Mariani Trail Mix bar:

After work – I ran to get an echeck on my car – except Mapquest was WAY WAY WAY WRONG.   So, after driving all over in the ghetto of Cleveland – I finally found the place – and the echeck itself took 3 minutes!   Go figure!

Once I got home – I was STARVING and I wanted everything in sight – so I started with a spinach, hummus wrap:

and followed up with a plate that any college student would approve of – hot(turkey) dogs and pickles!

2.24 004

Nope, not pregnant, this is just the randomness I eat! Can you IMAGINE the combinations I’d crave if I were pregnant?!?!?!?!  Now that’s a thought!

Great breakfast! Nothing like a little nut protein in the morning. Love the dinner. You and I are both going to be eating a jar of pickles a day when we’re preggers!!

MMmm pickles pair with everything!

That is a very phallic dinner! Maybe you just have practicing makin’ babies on the brain :)

[Reply]

I’ll be eating tons of pickles too! You never know…maybe you are!
Agree with Andrea. Such a phallic dinner, it made me giggle

I need to know how you eat your toast when the toppings go all the way to the very ends and sides! Where are the handles! (I know…high priority questions!!!)

OHMIGOSH we are also in LOVE with Bolthouse dressings!!! I want to say I discovered them about a year ago, and we have been smitten ever since. Caesar is my favorite dressing, and isn’t it hard to believe that the Bolthouse version only has 6 g of fat per serving?!? I think it tastes better than regular caesar. They are all so tasty!

I try and stay away from sugar free anything because it usually ends up disappointing. If I kept pickels in my house I would eat as many as you do!

mapquest giving shotty directions = story of my life. I’m glad you ended up finding the place though!

[Reply]

I 2nd the phallic dinner notion
I don’t think a sugar free jam could be as good as some homecooked preserves

[Reply]

Somewhere I have a yogurt poppyseed dressing recipe, which is pretty dang tasty. You have motivated me to go and try & find it. You are such the motivator, A-Dawg!!!

Any chance you would share some of those book suggestions with me, please? :)

[Reply]

hehe you actually got me thinking about hot dogs and I finally bought some from lightlife

[Reply]

That hummus wrap looks so yummy! Looks like you have lots of reading to do :)

[Reply]

I love hotdogs + pickels! Not pretty but still awesome! I’m not a fan of sugar free jelly either. Sort of tastes like artificial blah…hahaha!

[Reply]

That list looks great!! I caught Jane Green and Jennifer Weiner on there. LOVE both their books. All of their books!! Also Mariane Keyes writes some funny ones. I also second the SF grape. Blech. I really like the raspberry (I think) SF preserves. Maybe it was blackberry. One of them.

This weekend, I’m going to hunt down those damn dressings! Look amazing.

And I agree, that grape jam sucks!

[Reply]

i love how you always preface it with “I AM NOT PREGNANT” lol

also love that spinach and hummus wrap – thanks for reminding me how much i love those

[Reply]

Haha I always eat such weird things together I’m constantly wondering what’s gonna happen with my taste buds when I’m pregnant…yikes!

[Reply]

I eat such weird combos that my friends used to joke that I’ll crave normal stuff when I’m pregnant!

[Reply]

So, totally forgot to comment on the book thing but “The Time Travelers Wife” is my favorite book & it’s not too lovey-dovey. :) It’s by Audrey Niffengegger!

[Reply]

Love the page of book recs, please let us know what you start first! Everytime I read your blog I crave pickles but I keep forgetting whilst at the actual grocery store :(

[Reply]

Hey! Mid’s is buy one get one free at Heinen’s this week :) I’m definitely going to try it after your recommendation.

[Reply]

I missed out on your book recommendations but I have to tell you Something Borrowed is one of my favorites of all time. It does that Chick Lit type thing in the best way possible IMHO. :) I’m a sucker for those kind of books. I even have one of my own collecting dust on my hard drive.

PS: I saw both Madeleine Wickham and Sophie Kinsella on your list. fyi – they are the same person. :)

[Reply]

Those are some great suggestions!

Hummus wraps are my favorite! Hotdogs and pickles??? Not so much :)

[Reply]

andddd now all im craving for breakfast is a hummus/spinach/swiss wrap burnt in a skillet…

[Reply]

I dislike grape jelly. Yuck!! Raspberry is where it’s at, for realz.

[Reply]

Mmmmm. Spinach and hummus wrap.

[Reply]

Sweet photoshop skills on that jam jar. :D Your dinner is so random but I love it! Sometimes we all just have days where we crave the most random things. Congrats on not being knocked up!

[Reply]

I’ve been looking for those yogurt dressings! They sound delish. :)
