Let me preface with…
Ya’ll know I’m not crazy about sweets, but for some reason I’ve become OBSESSED with trying this place out!
Remember last Sunday when I stopped at this place and it was SOLD OUT?!?!?!
Well – when I said I was going back first thing Friday morning – I wasn’t kidding!
Friday morning – on my day off – I made sure to wake up nice and early so I could get everything done that I wanted to in the morning, AND to make sure I was OUT THE DOOR, by 9:55, so that I could be at Main Street Cupcakes when it opened at 10am!
A little fun fact – they have over 150 CUPCAKES they can make, the list is seriously impressive.. Honestly – if you have a free second – check out their list of cupcakes on their website. Don’t get jealous – THEY SHIP ACROSS THE U.S.!!
When I got there, I walked in to – and a case FULL of cupcakes!!!! SWOON!
I have a slight obsession with the appearance of the “Birthday Cake” cupcakes – the sprinkles just look SO perfect!
They had 13 flavors – so I ordered EVERYTHING they had Friday morning, with the exception of “Classic Chocolate”. Everything else sounded so cool – I couldn’t skip something like “MSC Fluff” or “Petal Cupcake” for “Classic Chocolate”. Sorry Classic Chocolate!
I walked away with my highly coveted dozen…
…and drove them straight over to the recipient – my Momma (I surprised her at work!)
Sure I’m partial – but isn’t she seriously the cutest Mom of the face of this earth??? Seriously!!!! LOVE HER!!!!
(see my stunna shades in the bottom left corner? Told ya I was cool!
)
The dozen:
First six
Bottom row: (L to R) Chocolate Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake
Next Row: (L to R) MSC Fluff, Red Velvet, Lemon Drop
Second six
“3rd row” (L to R): Half Baked, Bubble Gum, Chocolate Malt
“4th row” (L to R): Classic Vanilla, Wedding Cake, Petal Cupcake
Just look at that frosting!!!!
SO, SO, SO, SO DELICIOUS – I totally see what all the local rave is about! These cupcakes are seriously FANTASTIC! The entire GDW family approves!
I actually ended up going to the Hudson store on Saturday (totally unplanned, was out with Kristin, wedding dress shopping), and picked up 2 more cupcakes!!
Mike got to try the “Cookies and Cream” and totally fell in love.
Well – as a dude, he described it much differently than “I totally fell in love”
– he said that it tasted “awesome”, and described it as “a chocolate cupcake topped with a HUGE glob of Oreo filling” which would make anyone happy, right?
If you are ever in Rocky River or Hudson – you should DEFINITELY make sure to check out Main Street Cupcakes – but MAKE SURE YOU GET THERE EARLY! Their cupcakes are so popular and amazing – both locations sell out daily! Need I say more? Does that fact speak for itself?
Oh yeah – and fan them on FB if you get the chance!!!
Wanna hear two reasons why YOU GUYS ROCK?
1 – Ya’ll totally have my back that Forbes is just trying to give Cleveland a bad wrap – and I loved hearing all the GREAT things you had to say about Cleveland!
2 – Ya’ll totally support me, AND MIKE! Reading all your comments on the last post made me smile from ear to ear (Mike too!), I’m thankful every day to be part of such a wonderful community! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now if we can just get him through his Moot Court competition – it’ll be smooth sailing!
Yesterday – I had a great day off!
I started with spicy oats – so pretty and tasty!
and then hit the road to do some errands – one of which involved CUPCAKES…
…but I need to devote a separate post entirely to that because these cupcakes totally deserve it!
By the time I got home from my errands it was almost 1, and I was starving, so I made a salad with turkey and swiss:
Topped off with my new favorite dressing – Bolthouse Honey Mustard!
So far I’ve tried 3 Bolthouse dressing flavors and I’ve loved every single one! If you see these in your store – TRY THEM OUT!
Then I spent some time on the couch, reading blogs and wasting hours on Facebook. Luckily – I had a dog scarf to keep me warm:
All the hard work and effort it took to sit on the couch and play with my laptop got me hungry
– so I went for a quick snack:
I haven’t had Sabra in a while – I forgot how much I adore it!!!!
For dinner, I really wanted something FILLING, that wasn’t going to take FOREVER to cook. When I remember I had these new chicken sausages I wanted to try out in the fridge – I knew exactly what to do!
I cooked the sausage in the microwave (I didn’t know you could do that with sausage until last week
– call me sheltered), and roasted some broccoli:
and topped it all with Mid’s spaghetti sauce!
Filling AND delicious – win, win! Maybe it’s just me – but I totally feel like this is a “Meghann meal” – I think it totally looks like something you’d see her eat!
As of today – February 20, 2010 – I am able to reclaim my…
kitchen table:
coffee table:
cabinet top:
dresser top:
(Okay yeah – so you may see some of my camera clutter in the shots too – hey, I’m not perfect!
)
Over the past few months – our house has slowly gone from “home” to “law library”. I’d say the break out as of Thursday night was 9/10ths law library, 1/10 home.
Why the change?
Mike finished his Law Review Note, and turned it in as of yesterday!!!!!!!
He has worked so hard the past year and a half he’s been in law school, and the past 6 months he has been the busiest he’s ever been – but he got through it – and I just want to say: Congratulations Baby – I am SO proud of you, happy for you, and I love you so much!
Can you guys give him some love too?
