Floral Hypnotism

Maybe Mike doesn’t buy me flowers more often…because when he does – I sit and “Ooooh” and “Ahhhh” over them all day!

All joking aside – I really do love how fresh flowers can liven up any room!  It’s a great trick/entertaining tip – and I don’t use it nearly enough!

Since my stomach issues last week still had me a little freaked (but I apparently forget them during my Reuben-fest) – I decided a smoothie was the way to go for my Monday breakfast:

In there we’ve got: spinach, blueberries, pineapple, strawberries, almond milk, and PB – YUM!

I forgot how simple and super yummy smoothies can be!  Although – they are must tastier in the warmer weather!

Below lunch – I stumbled on to these sweet treats at my friend Mel’s desk:

I used an empty condiment cup as a scoop – and walked away because otherwise – I would have eaten the whole bowl!   I heart Jelly Bellys!

Lunch was a salad, with cukes, beans, and hummus as dressing:

Followed up with a nice crunch, thanks to Angelina being generous and letting me try her Mary’s Gone Crackers Sticks & Twigs!

Good thing she walked away with the bag!  If they were left at my desk – I don’t think she would have gotten anything back from me!

Afternoon snack – Ruby Red Grapefruit!

When I got home – it was GORGEOUS out so I took the pups for a nice long walk, – and then came home to make some dinner for myself since Mike was down at school.  The end result:

A REALLY darn tasty hodge podge plate!

Here we’ve got:

  • 1/2 bag of 90 second vegetable rice
  • shrimpies
  • veggie gyozas
  • soy sauce
  • sriracha

Quick, easy, and YUMMY!

Honestly – I’m just beside myself with this warm weather – I drove to work today with the SUNROOF OPEN!  Does anyone else (like me) go CRAZY at the first sign of spring????

I don’t care much for Spring, unless jelly beans are a sign in which case yes ma’am!

Are you kidding me? I have had the sunroof open for 6 days now! :D It’s Ohio – you never know when the sun will come back, so you have to enjoy it while you can!

i am seeeeriously happy for this warm weather so i know what you mean! yesterday i didn’t wear a coat at all, which may have been a little premature once the sun set :)

[Reply]

ummm the other day in portland i walked outside for lunch and literally shielded my face with my hand and said, “omg it’s so bright! where did that come from?”

i love jelly bellys! the pear flavor is soooo good.

Those were the colors of the roses from my wedding! So pretty :)

It’s weird I would never buy Jelly Belly’s for myself (I usually go for chocolate) but put a bowl in front of me and I would probably destroy it too!
