You know what I’ve been noticing? The better I eat (thanks to Cutting the Crap), the more excited I am to blog about it!
The crappier I eat & drink – I almost dread blogging.
Certainly not rocket science as to why I would feel that way – but it’s just something I thought worth calling out!
Breakfast – Sweet Fruity PB Oats:
![]()
In my Greenlitebites bowl from Fitbloggin’:
The oatmeal tasted just as pretty as the bowl I ate it out of! Warm, sweet, delicious, with some nice creaminess from the PB!
My morning went from just fine – to TERRIFYING in 2 minutes.
I let Lando out to go to the bathroom, and went to put on my makeup (normal routine) – about 3 minutes later when I went back to let her in – SHE WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND!
I started to freak out – but tried to stay calm and just kept calling her – then grabbed the box of treats and started shaking it, while screaming TREAT!! TREAT!! TREAT!! (God – my neighbors have to think I’m so SANE…
)
Sure enough, she came running (THANK GOD!!) – and very quickly – I saw what happened:
Their backyard leash broke AGAIN!
It broke in November and scared me to death – we’ve only had this one for 5 months!
![]()
I know I’m a crazy dog lady, and I’m cool with that – these dogs are my children so the thought of losing one of them, or one of them getting hurt makes me sick to my stomach! Thank goodness Lando is a little fatty magoo, and comes running for treats!
Dog trauma aside – the rest of my day was pretty darn good!
We had a department birthday lunch scheduled, and ended up at 56 West – were you can build your own burgers!
![]()
I went with the All Natural Chicken, Whole Wheat Bun, Housemade Ketchup on the side, Iceberg, & Avocado:
![]()
Not too bad – but not too great!
The avocado was BLACK, and the chicken was overcooked! The best part of the sandwich, in all honesty – was the whole wheat bun! (and the pickle of course!)
I ordered a side of the steamed brown rice to go with my meal – which was also “EH”. It has a really weird after taste and was BEYOND bland.
![]()
I ended up taking most of it home for dinner, because I thought I could fix it…but I couldn’t.
I plated up the meal, and then ended up throwing the rice away!
![]()
What’s the rest of the stuff on the plate, you may ask?
2 leftover eggrolls from the night before, as well as 2 tofu pizza eggrolls I had thrown together with the leftovers from last night:
I love things wrapped and rolled!
Since my the dogs morning was so traumatic – I figured they deserved a treat,
so I grabbed them a little something while I was picking up a new, INCREDIBLY STRONG, backyard leash:

GREEN BONES!
I was just ask excited as they were! Doesn’t it kind of look like a green Fruit Roll-Up wrapped around a bone?!
Harvey says: Mommy, I don’t understand, why no bone in front of me? Why pictures before I get treat? Just give it to me please.
![]()
Lando says: Mommy, why you hurt my feelings by not giving me bone as fast as possible?! I need it.
I love my little babies!
Since part of my day was traumatic – I figured this would be a good question for everyone – What’s your biggest (irrational, if you’d like) fear? Mine include:
- death (in general, my own, my loved ones, my dogs, etc)
- drowning
- fire (at my house when I’m not home and the dogs are in their cage)
- creepy crawly bugs

Hmmm. I don’t fear death at all. It actually makes me excited (not as in I want to die), because it is so elusive. Anyhow, moving on from that morbid remark :/ I am with you on drowning and BEARS!!!! I love, love to camp and hike, but I think everything is a bear.

Eeek…I got anxiety just reading this post. I’m also crazy dog lady and I’m glad your little “fatty magoo” is safe and sound!!!!!
My irrational fear is being eaten: sharks, alligators, bears. Not cool with ANY of it! :>

I’m terrified of running getting off of his leash and running away. It happened once at my parents house, and he went racing through the woods to chase some deer. My heart still stops beating thinking about it!
I’m terrified of fire, death and clowns. They scare the crap out of me!

I’m deathfully afraid of snakes God I hate them
I find the more I eat, the less I want to blog about it, healthy or not. I can’t not post for a whole day or it’s a flood.

1. I’m glad Lando is ok.
2. Spiders and centipedes. Also, when getting into the car at night I leap into the driver’s seat so my feet can’t be grabbed by someone hiding beneath the car.

Our puppy has gotten out twice in 2 days! I have chased him barefoot along the main road we live on! Very scary while there are cars buzzing by. And that dog does not listen at all!
I have lots of ‘irrational fears’ usually about my kids getting in freak accidents and dying. Oh and I assume I personally will die in a big scary car crash. Normal, right?

Drowning is hands down my number one fear. I think its because I grew up a swimmer, so the thought that it would fail me and I couldn’t do anything about it scares me so much! Sorry the lunch was a fail…it looks so tasty in the pictures

OMG! Too funny that this was your post b/c I reassessed mine while walking to the bathroom today.
My #1 fear used to be tripping and falling on my teeth. It is being quickly surpassed by having my eye sliced open as a result of a gust of wind kicking up a sheet of paper that is attached to a wall at eye level just as I am walking past it. (Pause here and re-read.)
Yes, I know. I have a lot of time on my hands.
The only thing that calms me down is dreaming of being a background dancer for Justin Timberlake. What??? A girl can dream!

So glad you found your pup! Lucy Dog got loose one morning when I still lived in the city (and right after I first got her) and I was definitely “that girl” running down a busy street in my GREEN FUZZY ROBE & SLIPPERS trying to find her… thanks to the kind hospital employees who smoked outside for getting her to stop, bc she sure wasn’t listening to me
Scarred ever since, if I lost her I would seriously be devastated
So I totally can feel ya on that!

I’ll go with death and big bugs too. I just saw a big bug in my kitchen. And I ran away. Like that’s going to solve the problem!

OMG!! I would have FREAKED! I’m not so sure Diddy would have come back – thank goodness Lando loves her treats! I think I’d probably come for treats, too…..
I’m terrified of the dark. My dad STILL tries to scare me when it’s dark out – gotta love your family, right??

I am soooo scared of thunderstorms!! It has actually got better (thank goodness) but it used to be that if it even started raining and I was outside I’d get totally freaked that lightning would start and I’d get hit!! Okay, now that I say it I think I sound completely crazy

I have a horrible fear of throwing up. In middle school it was so bad that anytime I got a stomachache I was convinced I was going to get sick and would throw a fit. I’ve calmed down about it a little now, but still turn into a big baby.

I am so terrified that my boyfriend will get in a random deadly accident. I always make sure to give him a kiss and tell him I love him before he leave/I leave.
Also, spiders. Ugh.

My fear, quite irrational, is that someone is going to steal me from my house. This is why when I apartment hunt I rule out the first floor.

ummm you need a fence! although, i still fear farley has found some way to wiggle his weiner body out of the backyard and that he’s bolting down the street in front of traffic.
but anyway…
SNAKES… so scary and disgusting!!
omg i can’t even watch them on tv! i used to try to make myself so i might get over my fear, and in just a couple minutes i was literally curled in a tight ball at the end of the couch cringing and not looking at the screen.
SNAKES ARE HORRIBLE!

Falling and breaking a tooth (who knew this was so common), snakes or anything vaguely reptilian, burning alive, my dog being stuck in her crate in a fire (another common one, who knew?), being bitten by a bat in my sleep (did you know that they don’t leave a mark and that if you wake up with a bat in the room you should be tested/treated for rabies ASAP). SO yeah, I’m cookoo for cocoa puffs.
That said, some totally unsolicited advice …… it’s a good idea to supervise the dogs on the tie out leash. Even if the leash keeps them in the yard, it doesn’t keep other animals/people OUT (same with fences and ESPECIALLY electronic fences). People steal dogs all the time and are bold about it…dogs with white necks (Boxers, Boston Terriers, etc.) are often stolen for thugs to teach a pit bull where to strike. I wish I were kidding. I also know people who’ve had their dogs attacked and killed by other dogs in their own yard-literally ripped apart. I am not trying to scare you, just sharing some info I picked up while doing dog rescue that changed the way I do things. Glad your little Lando is safe and sound!!!
