Oats just “weren’t my style” yesterday – instead I went the “build your own” way!
Bagel thin + sun-dried tomatoes + jalapeno

I know Bagel Thins are a little bit gimmick-y, and definitely more expensive than a regular loaf of bread – but I’m also sort of in love!
Lunch – Indian Style Tofu & Cauliflower leftovers with a sad lookin’ salad!
Randomness:
We decided to clean out the fridge at work – and look what I found!

My jelly, half frozen! Doesn’t it just look weird?!
Don’t worry – I threw it away!
After a long and draining day – I came home to Mike, 2 excited pups, and to make it even more perfect – A PACKAGE!
The lovely, sweet, and ALWAYS thoughtful Brandi wanted to help me with my ketchup situation, and offered to send me favorite brand!
And of course, she is so sweet that she didn’t just send me ketchup, but she sent me a whole package! I’m telling you – people don’t come any nicer than Ms. BranAppetit.
Thanks Brandi!
Dinner needed to be quick & easy – so I turned my beloved TJ’s whole wheat dough – in to this!

I love making homemade pizza, it’s quick, cheap, and everyone gets it made EXACTLY the way they want it!
What is a fad/gimmick product marketing that you’ve totally fallen for?
I like to think advertisers have a hard time “tricking” me into buying the latest trend – but judging from the first 3 pictures – who knows! One thing I do no – I NEVER got behind the 100 calorie snack pack trend. I think it’s SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY! Buy the big bag, and portion it out yourself!
P.S. Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win tickets to the Silver Spoon Awards!

I don’t really understand those 100 calorie snack packs either. I mean, just eat some fruit or a nut bar or something
ahah
I don’t really buy into trends, it’s just not me.
Btw, that pizza looks amazing. I haven’t had pizza in so long ugh.

I don’t do the 100 calorie packs either, but I used to! Basically anything that is convenience sized, I stay away from if I can buy it myself and portion it out

We love sandwich thins and bagel thins. That’s all we buy now, even my Husband has rejected regular bread.

I am such a sucker for marketing ploys. Which, I should know better since I work in the industry! Dang it.

The whole sandwich and bagel thin craze has me scratching my head, I must say, A huge waste of money and packaging–oh vey–the packaging on some of those things!! I think “um, if you want a paper thin slice of bread, just buy a loaf whole and ask the baketr to slice it thin”. Sorry :8 I’m not judging you though

I totally fell for the 100 calorie packs. They came out while I was in college and seemed perfect then. And those teeny tiny Special K bars… which I somehow used to eat for breakfast!! I’m pretty skeptical now, knowing the “natural” and “vegetarian fed” and other good-sounding terms can mean nothing.

I totally resisted the Magic Bullet and the Ped Egg. Now I can’t live without either. I’m going to have a Snuggie before too long too. I just know it.
If you aren’t going to eat that jelly, can I have it?

Agreed!! HATE the 100 calorie trend. Okay, I admit it’s great for people with no portion control and who had no idea what portion control is. But for other people, I just want to tell them to portion out your own 100 calorie servings rather than pay so much for the extra packaging. Or instead of 100 calories worth of fake “oreo”, eat 1 or 2 REAL oreos and satisfy your sweet tooth that way.
As for myself, yes I’ve fallen for the Bagel Thins and Sandwich Thins. Actually I wasn’t a huge fan of the bagels. But I love Sandwich thins.

I haven’t tried the bagel thins yet but I want to. I have jumped on board the Sandwich Thin train though- what can I say, I a little bit fall for trends

Hmmm I definitely fell for baked chips, which someone mentioned up above. Also, I fall hard for “trendy” flavors, such as pomegranate and chipotle. Those just exploded onto the food scene all of a sudden, a few years back, and I haven’t looked back!
And I still say you should do a pizza dough shaping video to show us the wizardry you pull in the kitchen.

yay, I’m glad you got it! Next chance I get to go to the post office, you’ll have a few other things on their way
That breakfast sandwich looks so good right now!
I’ve bought the 100-calorie packs in the past and appreciate the idea of having the correct portion size for people that really do have problems keeping themselves to just one serving, but they’re such a ripoff for the price! Plus, most of them are full of junk. I do like having the little packets of almonds or pb for traveling, though.
