Have you heard about the Pound for Pound Challenge?
If you watch Biggest Loser, I’m pretty sure the answer is YES!
Depending on how many pounds are pledged – Kroger, General Mills, and NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” are partnering to donate up to $1,080,000 to Feeding America this year.
Here’s how you can help:
- Visit www.pfpchallenge.com/Kroger to make your pledge to lose weight and to get more information and to find tools to change your life for the better. It’s free, easy and only takes a minute to make a change that can help you and help the hungry in your local community.
- Through June 30, 2010, for every pound you pledge to lose, the Pound For Pound Challenge will donate 14¢ to Feeding America® — enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a local food bank.
General Mills & Kroger worked with MyBlogSpark to help get the word out about the challenge – and I got a Kroger gift card, to go buy General Mills products!

I totally dig the “Nutrition Highlights” – I’m not sure how I never noticed that before!
The General Mills “Blue Bar” makes me happy!

Oh my DEAR! As a poor college student in Greencastle, Indiana, where the ONLY grocery stores are Kroger and Wal-mart, I WOULD LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ONE OF THESE!!!
I’m striving to lose FIVE pounds to get healthier. And I’m hoping Oikos will help me–and the Kroger gift card will help that!

All of those funds really do trickle back down to the Cleveland Foodbank for those who pledge in the Cleveland area!

I just wanted to quickly tell you how great it is that you’re supporting the pound for pound challenge. I work for a food bank that is a part of Feeding America and programs like this really help. Unfortunately, times are tough and non-profits seem to be suffering the most. We have to constantly try to stretch the amount of food we have in a week because donations are down. 14 cents doesnt seem like much, but it only takes 25 cents to feed a person one meal.
