Not the Same

I really had high hopes for the Strawberry Yogurt Cheerios I purchased on Sunday!

6.29 002

They smelled amazing – and I love pink in my food!

6.29 003

But it was not the same.  I need to stick with my Multigrain Cheerios, I love them so much, why do I try to mess with a good thing!

I also test out a new TJ’s Fiberful Bar – “Fruit & Veggie”

6.29 007

Figuring, it would be just as good at the Blueberry Apple or Apricot versions.

6.29 009

Not bad, but not the same.

Lunch – a side of Aladdin’s hummus with hot sauce!

When I’m eating any other brand of hummus, all I can think of it, it’s not the same as Aladdin’s!

I’ve been CRAVING a Cobb Salad lately – but haven’t been able to get one (hello quit Vegan Challenge) – so instead I arranged my veggies, kinda like the would on a Cobb:

6.29 005

Not the same.

Dinner? TJ’s Vegan Pizza Dough with Daiya Vegan Cheese & Banana Peppers:

6.29 014

Definitely good, but not the same as the “regular” version!

Wanna know something else that is not the same?

Having 3 dogs, compared to 2 dogs!

I swear the plot against me!

See that over turned bowl up there?

See that empty spot on the table between the blue dog list and Diddy’s food?

6.29 020

While Diddy was outside, these terrorist Harvey & Lando have been freaking out over Diddy’s food – they are all about the hot new thing.

6.29 019

Their food?  Apparently lame. Diddy’s food?  Apparently the greatest thing on earth.

6.29 022

My reaction to these idiots?

6.29 024

They’ll clean the mess up themselves, I might as well take pictures for the blog.

That’s totally the same as reprimanding them for sticking their paws up on to the table to pull the food down.  RIGHT?! :)   (C’mon – say it with me – NOT THE SAME!)

PS – Congratulations to Lindsay – Commenter #4 – who won the Kroger Giveaway!

Still looks pretty tasty to me. More importantly…what the hell is going on on the Bachelorette? Tyler V. isn’t looking so bad now, is he Ali?!

Ya i’m gonna have to say that a cobb salad minus the chicken, bacon, avocado and cheese would NOT be the same :D Lol good work though! And I love the plane pull pics, that is awesome :)

I haven’t seen the new fruit and veg fiberfuls but I will definitely have to track them down. I love the bag of ends and pieces. And when it comes to cheerios I’m forced to go the unhealthy route and eat Honey Nut. That is a true treat in a bowl. What if you ate multigrain cheerios with fresh berries on top?! Best of both worlds?

Way to put your foot down with the dogs, Mama! :)
Haha – love it.

those rascals!

What is the point of having a dog if they don’t act as a vacuum? My littler terror (aka my puggle Franklin) serves as our resident crumb sweeper.

Oh Aladdins…I miss that place so much!! When my parents get me from the airport that’s always where I ask to be taken for lunch. You’re so right, that hummus is THE BEST!

Aladdin’s Hummus + Hot Sauce may be one of the most amazing things on the planet :) You DEFINITELY need to go to Taza – they have spicy hummus (which is just the hummus with hot sauce already mixed in) and they bring you out fresh HOT pita that was just cooked in the stone oven. Since Taza is the same company, the hummus is the same! Enjoy your last day of the Vegan challenge and I can’t wait to see some cheese, yogurt, and perhaps some meat product in the next few days.

What’s the first thing you are going to eat tomorrow when your Vegan challenge is over?

[Reply]

Yeah, I definitly ate some cheese today. Just putting it out there :D

Those cheerios look like they would be tasty- sorry they weren’t! I’ve been obsessed with cheerios lately. Your lunch salad also looks yummy!

LOL – Last night some of the dog food spilled on the floor as my husband was pouring it into the storage bin (looks like we have the same plastic containers with the blue lids). Solution? Estimate how much food was on the floor, let the smurf into the room to clean up the mess, then subtract that amount from his dinner. We thought it worked pretty well… but it is interesting – he’s not allowed in that room… cept for the fact that the food was spilled and well, it just seemed so much easier ;-) hehe
