For a weekend where we “didn’t really have any plans” – I felt like I never stopped moving!
While I’m working on some sweet posts for you – I wanted to leave you with 3 updates!
1 – Look who’s staying over this week?!?!?!
Diddy!
Waddup Diddy!
Home-pup is MAJOR excited to be staying with us, I don’t think he’s sat down once since he’s been at our house!
And yes, having 3 puggles in our house is just as insane as you might imagine!
2 – I ate meat. And cheese. And it was delicious. And I felt sad about being a quitter for a second, then I felt relieved to just be able to order what I wanted.
Funny thing? The turkey sandwich wasn’t even that good!
Much more on the whole vegan challenge on 7/1 though – I’m gonna do a WHOLE big wrap up then!
3 – Don’t forget to enter the Pound for Pound Challenge and comment, for your chance to win a $30 Kroger gift card!
Happy Monday!
Have you heard about the Pound for Pound Challenge?
If you watch Biggest Loser, I’m pretty sure the answer is YES!
Depending on how many pounds are pledged – Kroger, General Mills, and NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” are partnering to donate up to $1,080,000 to Feeding America this year.
Here’s how you can help:
- Visit www.pfpchallenge.com/Kroger to make your pledge to lose weight and to get more information and to find tools to change your life for the better. It’s free, easy and only takes a minute to make a change that can help you and help the hungry in your local community.
- Through June 30, 2010, for every pound you pledge to lose, the Pound For Pound Challenge will donate 14¢ to Feeding America® — enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a local food bank.
General Mills & Kroger worked with MyBlogSpark to help get the word out about the challenge – and I got a Kroger gift card, to go buy General Mills products!

I totally dig the “Nutrition Highlights” – I’m not sure how I never noticed that before!
The General Mills “Blue Bar” makes me happy!

Deadline to comment is 8pm, tomorrow night (6/28/10) – GOOD LUCK!
(Disclosure: Kroger Family of Stores gift card, information, and giveaway were all provided by the Kroger Family of Stores and General Mills through MyBlogSpark.)
Do you understand how much more I would love my job if I could be with these faces ALL DAY LONG?!
I’d be the happiest employee EVER!
Yesterday was TAKE YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY – the BEST day of the year!
Lando & Harvey totally had a rough day at the office – they went to a few meetings
(you know my friends Angelina and Kristin? That’s them. Or I guess just their legs, but you know what I mean. My pups just made themselves right at home!)
Then took a nap, because you know, working is hard!
What a life!
There were also a ton of other events going on, including professional pet portraits (more on that in a later post!) and a “Hot Dog Eating Contest”

Serious competition!
I chose to just watch!
All said and done – the team who organized Dog Day raised almost $4,000 for the APL – how fantastic is that?!?!?!
My vegan lunch & afternoon snack: Pasta salad & Apple/PB
As if my day couldn’t get any better (HELLO! Office full of dogs = One very happy Crazy Dog Lady!) – I had dinner plans with some of my favorite Cleveland bloggers – at AMP 150!
OBVIOUSLY the night started off with drinks!
I ordered Sauv Blanc…

…but I must say Carly and Suzanne’s Blackberry Mojitos looked AMAZING!

Before we ordered – Executive Chef Ellis Cooley came out to chat it up with our table. VERY COOL!
He was so down to earth, nice, and laid back – with someone like that cooking for you – how can you go wrong?!
Almost everyone ordered appetizers, and even though I passed on that idea – I did steal a bite from Tina’s Ruby Beet Salad, which was amazing!

My meal: Rigatoncini (vegan!)
![]()
Eggplant confit, Roasted Peppers, Pine Nuts & Arugula (I ordered it sans cheese)

If I could AMP 150’s Rigatoncini every day of my life…I’d be vegan forever, and I’d never look back. It was so amazing, and a very delightful flavor combination! Completely.Awesome!
After dinner had settled – all the non-vegans moved on to delicious treats from Carly:
While I sat and admired how thoughtful she was because she even brought Lando & Harvey special treats!

It was a great night, and I really can’t say enough good things about AMP 150!
The food was beyond amazing, it completely exceeded my already high expectations, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was phenomenal! Our waitress Stephanie was seriously one of the best I’ve ever had (and I waitressed for 8 years – yes – I’m one of those hyper critical restaurant patrons. Yes, I’m judging you.
)
A very big thanks to all the staff at AMP 150, especially Chef Cooley, for a fantastic evening! Clevelanders – GET THERE NOW!
