I’ll take the Awesome Flavored One.

I woke up early to get my workout out in – and when I was done – the ONLY breakfast that would do was eggs.

I had planned on making them “plain” but once I scoped out the fridge – they went from “plain” to “awesome” flavored  (it’s Friday – can you tell I’m goofy?!)

Red Bell Pepper, Sweet Onion, Swiss Cheese, and fresh-from-the-plant Basil!

There is just something about basil that is absolutely extraordinary to me these days :) (I know, I know – so dramatic – right?!)

Refreshing simple salad for lunch:

7.30 006

Followed up with Herr’s pretzels for dessert

7.30 007

I wish they sold these pretzels in BULK around here (I think they are only in big bags in PA) – I’m absolutely obsessed with them, but I”m pretty sure it’s not exactly budget savvy to be buying a bag of them out of the vending machine ever day!

Snack to tide me over until dinner: 1 slice of bread with Naturally More and an apple.  Totally normal, right?

7.30 008

After work – I met Suzanne and Katrina at Tartine Wine Bar!

7.30 013

It was, literally, the most perfect weather for porch drinking I have ever seen! (I feel like I should have started that sentence with a southern accent and a “I dooo deeeeclare!”)

7.30 0117.30 015

A little Sauv Blanc mixed with a gorgeous porch setting and great blogger company?  You can always count me in!

7.30 014

I decided to hold off and eat once I got home – since I knew I had a full head of cauliflower calling my name at home (I know, I know, that sounds like such a dorky thing to say, but I really was excited to make it!)

7.30 017

The last time I made Roni’s recipe I was TOTALLY blown away at how delicious it was.

It’s safe to say – the second time around – it did not disappoint!

7.30 019

I actually dipped the last few in ketchup like they were fries. And you know what?  It was AWESOME!

What’s the WEIRDEST thing you’ve ever put ketchup on?

I don’t know if I even have an answer for that – since I put ketchup on just about everything!

Okay, that’s where you lost me at ketchup. Other than jalapeno ketchup, I don’t put it on anything – but my daughter even puts it on her eggs!

I am just a hot sauce and mustard girl – I’ll have to give the cauliflower at try though! Happy Friday!

I know it’s totally common- but ketchup on eggs still weirds me out. Even though I do try it from time to time and it’s not that bad. It just gives me the heebie jeebies for some reason!

Good times last night. :) Hope we didn’t get you in too much trouble with the hubby!

I know this might cause me to get voted off the island but I think ketchup is disgusting.

I am not a huge fan of ketchup oddly enough but I really love it on meatloaf. And meatloaf is kind of weird. (Well for me it is!)

We have no wine bars nearby. I am jealous!

i have been putting our fresh garden basil in everything too, it really makes a meal so special! i like to put the regular or lemon basil we have into salads too, so freaking good.

as for ketchup weirdness, my freshman year roommate used to put it on top of her salads instead of dressing… that was a bit much for me haha!

It’s funny you ask this b/c I burnt some green beans in the oven tonight and we ate them as french fries dipped in ketchup!! They weren’t too bad…… :)

West Indians put ketchup on everything, for example you just can not eat fried chicken without a big thing of ketchup, and now I do too! My favorite thing to eat ketchup on is green bean fries.

my sister dips potato chips in ketchup. she is a weirdo. i think any roasted veggie should be dipped in ketchup though – so you made the right move!

Love basil!!!

Hmmmm….ketchup on mac & cheese! YUM!! Hannah puts ketchup on everything….last night was BBQ chicken!

That cauliflower looks good. I’m not a big ketchup person – I really only like it on potatoes. However, hot sauce on the other hand, I put that on everything.

[Reply]

I will eat it on a lot of things, but last night at dinner Ethan was dipping his strawberries in Ketchup.

I put ketchup on EVERYTHING. I have cut back over the last year or so (too many calories). Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, pickles, eggs, chips, string beans, the list goes on forever. lol

[Reply]

ooooh I am a ketchup addict and put it on so many things! One of my fav ‘snacks’s is a ketchup and cheese sandwich :)

Love love eggs- had them out at brunch this am. Amazing. My mom is obsessed with those pretzels too. Looks like a fun evening. I don’t put ketchup on anything weird- but I love yellow mustard on carrots (cooked or raw ;) )

Ketchup only goes on 3 things.. burgers and hot dogs (but MUST be accompanied by mustard and relish) and grilled cheese sammiches. MMM. I dip EVERYthing in hot sauce, A1 sauce and mustard, though. Sometimes separate and sometimes mixed into a glorious brown blob of deliciousness.

I have about 8 basil plants and I’ve been putting basil into everything! I like using basil leaves in my salad instead of lettuce/spinach/etc. YUM!

omg i put ketchup on everything. my fave is a slice of american cheese with ketchup. then rinse down with pickle. sad story, but true…i only do this at my parents’ otherwise i’d stand in front of our fridge 24-7.
