Hey there, Green Dog Wine fans! I’m Janetha from meals & moves.
I don’t know about you, but I know the only reason I read Allison’s blog is to see what her two little monsters, Lando and Harvey, are up to.

Okay, okay, I am lying.
I also read Allison’s blog because I love her recipes, adventures and spunk. Yes, I just said “spunk”. Allison and I were roomies last November at the 2009 Foodbuzz festival. I can assure you that she is just as spunky in person as she is here on GDW. I love her.
I am so happy that Allison invited me to guest post. Like Allison, I am also a crazy dog lady. I have two monsters of my own.

Randy is on the left (he is a Basset Hound) and Penny is on the right (she is an Entlebucher (Swiss Mountain Dog) Cavalier mix).
Instead of sharing a recipe for humans, today I am going to share a recipe you can make for your fine furry friend. Well, I suppose you could eat it yourself… as long as you enjoy the combination of cheese and peanut butter…

Cheesy Peanut Butter Cake.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- enough milk to make “batter” consistency—i used skim milk
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.

You will have spectators.

Pour into a greased 8” cake pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. When it is done, it should be golden brown and a toothpick should come out clean after inserting into the middle of the cake.

While the cake bakes, take an obscene amount of photos of your dog(s).
Once the cake has cooled a bit, place it on a plate.

Spread a nice layer of natural peanut butter on top.

Crunchy, if you want to make your pooch happiest.

Adorn the cake with a “P” (or the appropriate letter) made of cheese.

Go ahead and tease them a bit..

Then let them eat cake!

Your dog is going to love this!

Thanks for reading and feel free to swing by my blog, meals & moves, anytime!

I love Allison’s dogs too – but I love your basset hound!
Great idea Janetha – my dog loves peanut butter so I’ll have to give this a try.
Great guest post!
